Brett Eldredge, as part of his upcoming web series “Take Me Home Tonight,” held a very special performance last night for a very lucky couple. Rachel Johnson and Jerad Yenni, set up by Eldredge himself, went on a VIP date that concluded at Nashville’s 12th & Porter where Eldredge performed.
You can catch Eldredge’s special performance, as well as Rachel and Jerad’s entire date, on The Warner Sound’s YouTube Channel, Youtube.com/TheWarnerSound.
Miranda Lambert’s war of words with Chris Brown has now gone from Twitter to YouTube.
Lambert performed last night at the Mullins Center in Amherst, MA. As her band started playing her anti-domestic violence anthem “Gunpowder & Lead,” a fan held up a sign that read: “Take Notes Chris Brown.” Lambert walked over, took the sign and showed it to the crowd, which roared its approval. “Nothing else needs to be said tonight, ladies and gentlemen,” said the fiery singer.
But she did say more. After posing with the sign and encouraging folks to take pictures and post them on Twitter, Lambert added, “I’ve been in a world of hurt with Chris Brown fans lately. But I had to speak my mind because where I come from, beating up on a woman is never okay. So that’s why my daddy taught me early on how to use a shotgun.”
See the video below:
Lambert has taken issue with Brown performing not once, but twice at the Grammy Awards. The R&B singer pleaded guilty to an assault charge after beating up then-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. Brown was sentenced to five years of probation and six months of community labor.
This week’s music video is Lee Ann Womack, “I Hope You Dance.” The song was the lead single from her 2000 album of the same title, and a number one, cross-over mega hit.
One word comes to mind for me with this song… masterpiece. It is one of my favorite songs of all-time and definitely makes my top five. The lyrics and message are amazing, Womack’s voice is beautiful as always, and the video is very sweet.
“I Hope You Dance” is just one of those times in music when everything aligns together and is perfect.
