Occasionally you go to an intimate show and are fortunate to experience an incredible performer up close and personal. Very rarely are you able to have that experience multiplied by three. On February 26th in Jupiter, Florida, Nashville recording artist, Sarah Darling; UK chart topper, Jenn Bostic; and local teenage prodigy, Emily Brooke, shared the stage at Tiki 52 for one night only … And it was a night that attendees won’t soon forget.
Emily Brooke opened the night with a bang, almost literally, as she took on Miranda Lambert’s “Kerosene.” As always, Emily charmed the crowd immediately with her soulful voice, stunning guitar playing, and adorable personality, made especially apparent by the huge smile that crossed her face when the audience joined her in a loud “HA!” during this hot opener. In true Emily Brooke fashion, she introduced almost every song, told cute little stories, made herself giggle, and, like a seasoned professional, swiftly returned to her set list seamlessly. A crowd favorite was Darius Rucker’s “Wagon Wheel,” which Emily introduced and then, elatedly, said that she heard someone in the audience say how much she loved this song. Onlookers sang and clapped along as Emily strummed the guitar and crooned this popular tune that oftentimes receives a warm reception and rave reviews. Other highlights of Emily’s set list included Hunter Hayes’ “All You Ever,” The Civil Wars’ “Devil’s Backbone,” and original song (on Emily’s Here Right Now album with a corresponding video on YouTube) “Dance Hall.”
Fresh off the heels of Cassadee Pope‘s Top 10 debut country music single, “Wasting All These Tears,” comes her next sure-to-be hit song, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart,” and its accompanying music video. Cassadee’s sophomore country single shows a different side of the multifaceted young artist who has experienced enormous successes since breaking into the genre.
“I Wish I Could Break Your Heart” is a song about wishing you could get revenge against someone who hurt you, but, because of the love you had for the person, you would never follow through — even though it sure would be nice! The video for this single shows country music fans a completely different side of Cassadee, specifically in the catchy chorus where she channels her rocker roots, lets loose, and sets her feet firmly in her comfort zone.
Fans who have had the pleasure of seeing Cassadee live will recognize the honesty in the performance aspects of the music video, as the high energy, fun-loving Cassadee you see on your screen is the Cassadee you will get in concert. Fans of one of country music’s biggest breakout female artists as of late will also notice (and enjoy) the sneaky smile that spreads across Cassadee’s face as she sings the vengeful lyrics, almost as if she has a secret that she has no intention of sharing. Another standout quality of this music video is the gorgeous artistry, specifically with the glass heart shattering to the touch throughout and the strategically placed lit hearts in the performance sections.
On an album chock full of potential hits, Cassadee and her team got it right with the release of “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart.” We are certain this single will continue Cassadee on her uphill climb to the top of the list of influential females in country music.

The first single off of Kelly Clarkson‘s Christmas album, Wrapped In Red, has proven to be quite a success in terms of holiday music. Kelly has now released a music video to accompany “Underneath the Tree,” which continues to bring the holiday cheer this season.
Wrapped in gold (and red, of course), Kelly performs the upbeat song about wanting just one thing under her tree this year — that someone special. Kelly’s band trades in their typically comfortable stage attire for a more formal and dapper look, complete with red instruments to capture the spirit of the song. The video also gives a backstage glimpse into Kelly’s preparations for the several performances and specials in which she has participated in celebration of this year’s holidays.
Check out Kelly’s latest music video below and get yourself ready for the upcoming holiday! And if you haven’t already picked up a copy of Wrapped In Red, you might want to ask for that to be underneath your tree!
Sara Kauss of Parasol Production (@_Parasol_), the Producer of the Dance Hall music video, met Emily at a concert event at Sara and Zak Kauss’s ranch in Florida, where Emily performed on the Fourth of July. Immediately, Sara recognized something extremely special in the young artist and, without hesitation, determined Emily’s was a career in which she truly believed and of which she offered her support. The Dance Hall music video is Parasol Production‘s first major project, and a flawless one, indeed.
After polling Emily’s fan base, Dance Hall (which later became a track on Danielle Bradbery‘s debut album) was selected as the first music video off of Here Right Now. Dance Hall, which was written by April Geesbreght, Molly Reed, and Nicole Gaylon, was a song that Emily knew she wanted to record upon first listen. “I instantly fell in love with the song after hearing it!” Emily explained in her speech at her music video premiere party.
Without further ado, we present to you Emily’s first, and certainly not last, music video — Dance Hall!
At Monday’s CMT Next Women Of Country showcase, Season 10 American Idol runner-up, Lauren Alaina, debuted a new song called Same Day, Different Bottle. Lauren co-wrote the track about alcoholism, which hits extremely close to home for the country star.
At the BMI Country Awards, Lauren explained her personal connection to the song:
“The song is about my father,” she confirmed. “He actually got out of rehab today! I haven’t gotten to see him yet, because he’s back in Chattanooga, where I’m from. That song was like therapy for me. It’s not easy growing up in a household with something like that. I love my dad — he’s one of my favorite people in the world — and he’s a great person. He just struggled with alcohol, and he’s overcoming it right now, so I’m really proud of him. I played him the song, and he loved it. It made him cry. I think it was good for him to hear my side and to see how it affected me. Today is a new beginning for him. It’s gonna be a battle for the rest of his life, but I’m going to be right there with him, and pray that every day he doesn’t want to drink it up and touch a bottle. I hope it’s no longer the same day, different bottle. Different day, no bottle!”
Country megastar and two-time Grammy Award nominee, Jo Dee Messina, has been named the Academy of Country Music Awards’ Top New Female Vocalist; Billboard Magazine’s Most Played Country Female Artist of the Year; Boston Music Awards’ Outstanding Country Act, Outstanding Female Vocalist, and Act of the Year; and the Country Music Association Awards’ Horizon Award recipient. She has been atop Billboard’s Country Music Chart and in the Top 15 of Billboard’s 200. She has platinum albums and gold albums and has experienced a myriad of successes. And while she has been seemingly quiet on the radio as of late, she never really said Bye Bye or even took any Downtime. We were unbelievably lucky to catch up with one of country music’s sensations to find out what she has been up to, when we can expect new music, and to chat about her time on the road – both musically and on foot. During our conversation, she convinced us I’m Alright, made it clear that she could handle anything, so Bring On the Rain, and, when the sun came back out, she made sure we knew that, in certain situations, My Give a Damn’s Busted. All in all, we found out that one of our favorite artists is on her way to a comeback with a vengeance and is ready to give the Peace Sign to naysayers!
First thing’s first – let’s clear up some rumors! Jo Dee never went away. In fact, she did quite the opposite; she has been touring, as well as making records for her fans. And while the songs she recorded on her former label may have ended up on shelves, you might be interested to find out that Jo Dee actually was first to record a song called Put Me In the Ground, which is more identifiable as The Band Perry‘s smash hit, Better Dig Two. When Jo Dee’s label failed to believe in the potential of Put Me In the Ground, it became mutually clear for Jo Dee and her label that it was time to part ways. (Oh, and Jo Dee is incredibly excited that the song has been successful for The Band Perry because she loves the song and she loves The Band Perry.)
At the end of last year, we introduced you to Kennedy Noel, a teenage prodigy with her hands in several projects in order to help her musical career thrive. Well, over the last ten plus months, Kennedy has continued to put her incredible talent to work, keeping her eyes on the prize and ensuring she came out a winner.
We recently caught back up with Kennedy, who you may all remember as a teenager far wiser than her years, and with her feet in the country music capital and her heart in rock ‘n’ roll. We are so excited to announce that our young and ever-so-driven Keepin’ It Country friend, Kennedy, will be releasing a video for her original rock song, Never Stop, tomorrow, October 15th. Not only did this uber talented musician write the song (which is an anthem for not allowing others’ negative words to keep you from accomplishing your goals), but she also wrote the treatment and had all the creative ideas for the video. Kennedy’s talents are truly limitless, and we cannot wait to watch Never Stop when it becomes live!
Check out Kennedy’s original video tomorrow by clicking here … And don’t try to cheat! The video will not become public before then!
Congratulations to Kennedy! We are so proud of you!
When we first discovered Doreen Taylor and started to learn about her, we asked ourselves “Is there anything this girl can’t do?!” Then, after a bit more research and some one-on-one chats with Doreen, we received our answer: “NO!” While we would love to tell you that Doreen is a jack of all trades, we won’t go there (you will see why below!). Instead, we will introduce Doreen as a singer, songwriter, and actress with a magical musical past, an impressive academic background, and an incredibly bright future.
Without further ado, we present to you the amazing and talented Doreen Taylor!
We’ve always been huge fans of the unbelievably talented David Nail, and this video only proves why. Flanked by only a piano player, Nail adds his powerful country twang to the already haunting lyrics. Check out David’s soulful, stripped down country rendition of Adele‘s “Someone Like You.” Let us know if you love it as much as we do!
