Country music fans in Waco, Texas last night went home a little disappointed after Wade Bowen‘s sold out show was forced to shut down early. The choice wasn’t up to Wade, who also took to Facebook to share his disappointment with his fans:
Such a disgrace what happened tonight. So sorry for all that road tripped to Waco. Glad we got in the full show though. God bless for the support!!

Miranda Lambert has a heart the size of Texas for animals, especially dogs. Currently, Lambert and her husband, Blake Shelton, share their Oklahoma ranch with seven canine children. But their brood might have gained a new member yesterday. Lambert tweeted yesterday afternoon:
@Miranda_Lambert: Found another dog this am on the side of the road. In sad shape. I’m about to start kicking someone’s ass.
There was no photo attached to the tweet for this stray pup but Lambert did tweet a few weeks ago about yet another stray she took under her wing:
@Miranda_Lambert: And I Found this on the side of the road this morning. Dah-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Batman! (The theme song ):)
Lambert’s love for dogs and all furry creatures inspired her a few years ago to start a foundation for animals known as MuttNation Foundation. The foundation’s purpose, as stated on their website, “is to build animal shelters for better care; increase pet adoption and encourage responsible pet guardianship; rehabilitate sick or unsocialized animals; fund spay/neuter programs; reduce/eliminate euthanasia of healthy animals; and train shelter dogs for purposes of therapy programs, assistance for wounded military personnel and dogs-in-prisons programs.”
In addition to donations from the public, Lambert also puts on a concert every year to support MuttNation Foundation. Cause for the Paws is held annually in Texas and tickets are sold to the public, with proceeds going to MuttNation Foundation.
This year’s Cause for the Paws concert is scheduled for June 22 in Beaumont, TX. Joining Lambert on stage will be Texas favorites, Wade Bowen and The Josh Abbott Band. Tickets for the event can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.

Wade Bowen will release his debut single from his first BNA record this week. “Saturday Night” has officially gone for adds at country radio stations across North America today and showcases his songwriting ability and energy from his live shows. Seventeen stations have already been playing the track on its release.
“I wouldn’t be here today getting the opportunity to record for a major label if it weren’t for all those shows I played and for all those die-hard music fans at home coming out to see me,” said Bowen. “They are the reason I am being afforded this opportunity. When it comes to my intent as a musician, I’ve not changed anything since day one. I’ve only tried to mature and to get better, and I think ‘Saturday Night’ is representative of that.”

Texas’ Wade Bowen released his new single “Saturday Night” on iTunes today. The song is his debut single with label BNA.
“Saturday Night” manages to maintain an upbeat, relaxed vibe while lyrically demonstrating a resentment toward Saturday night. More specifically, he can’t imagine why so many people enjoy Saturday night, particularly a girl who he had to say goodbye to, when he is left spending is Saturday nights alone. This song is definitely radio friendly and we can see why it is climbing up the U.S. charts!
Wade is currently touring heavily in Texas, but will soon be expanding to a city and radio station near you!
Preview the track below, but be sure to support Wade and purchase his single on iTunes here !
