2012 City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge Roster

The 22nd Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee, and the first several players on the roster have been announced! Suiting up for the cause are: Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery, Brantley Gilbert, Lauren Alaina, David Nail, James Otto, Robin Meade, Scott Hamilton, Chuck Wicks, Whitney Duncan, Bucky Covington, Sarah Darling, Billy Gilman, Kristen Kelly and Two Foot Fred. The AfterMidnite and Grand Ole Opry players rosters will be updated as more players commit to the event.

The City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge has raised almost $2 million dollars since its inception. The cause benefits City of Hope as it strives to find cures and more effective treatment for cancer and other diseases. Tickets to the game are on sale now at Ticketmaster. Come out and watch some of your favorite artists battle it out on the field in support of those battling for their lives!

There’s a little less than a week left for fans to enter this amazing sweepstakes. Big & Rich have partnered up with Love Everybody and the Deadwood Mountain Grand for a flyaway contest for fans to win an all-expenses paid trip to see Big & Rich perform with friends Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, and Two Foot Fred in South Dakota. The weekend takes place July 8th and 8th in Deadwood, SD. The winner can choose a guest to go with them on this amazing trip.

The winner will also participate in a parade lead by Big & Rich themselves! All transportation and accommodations are provided by Deadwood.

Gretchen Wilson and Big & Rich Raise money for Kids

Gretchen Wilson and good friends Big & Rich are going to celebrate the fourth of July weekend by raising money for Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Booked for July 2nd in Denver, Colorado; the benefit show will also feature special guests Cowboy Troy and Two-Foot Fred. They will perform on a custom-built stage with an 8-piece band and even a full working bar!

Ticket prices start at $35 and go as high as $99 before taxes and applicable fees. Fans who purchase tickets before June 17, 2011 are entered into a sweepstakes for a Country Fans Dream 4th of July Weekend VIP treatment. The winner will receive two VIP passes for a Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson meet and greet, two tickets to see Kenny Chesney live in concert at Red Rocks, two nights at The Curtis Hotel in Denver, two tickets to the sold-out Colorado Rockies Fireworks show on July 1st, VIP viewing of the July 4th Shriner’s Parade, and a VIP transportation to and from the concert in a limo.
