The votes have been tallied and country music fans have spoken. Showdog-Universal Records’ Trace Adkins has been named the Sexiest Man In Country Music by Country Weekly’s Readers Poll. He’ll appear on the cover of the magazine’s November 8th issue, who is celebrating the win by making available a special edition of his new single “Million Dollar View” for fans on his website and CountryWeekly.com today.

Trace Adkins posted a picture this afternoon on his Facebook page of his family home being torn down today to start the rebuild. His house caught on fire in the Summer while his family was home, but luckily no one was hurt. The fire was believed to have started by the dryer in the garage thanks to an electrical issue. Click on the picture to get the full size.

The family have been staying in a cabin since the fire.

REVIEW: Trace Adkins – Million Dollar View

Trace Adkins’ singles are always unpredictable. He can hit you with one of the most beautiful ballads, then leave you scratching your head over his latest for-fun, silly little song. He’s never one to play it “safe,” and he’s never released a single that was a guaranteed hit on country radio. Maybe that’s why he’s so likable: that his entire career was built on risk, and love it or hate it kind of singles. Even his albums change from release to release; with fans never sure if they’re going to get the joking side or serious side of Trace with each record.

“Million Dollar View” is as close to safe as Trace has ever been. The latest release off of his newest album “Proud To Be Here” was custom-made for country radio. The follow-up to “Just Fishin’,” his first solo top 10 hit in almost three years, (“Hillbilly Bone” with Blake Shelton aside), it should do just as well as the first single off the album. It’s a sentimental but up-beat song where Trace explains how it doesn’t matter what everyone else in the world thinks is the most beautiful place in the world – he has all he has to see in his woman. Maybe it’s a little more heartfelt now since he lost his house to a fire earlier in the year.

Trace Adkins was the second country artist to perform the national anthem at the Game Series this year on FOX last night. Before he went out on the diamond, he discussed his friendship with Tony La Russa and the Cardinals HERE.

Watch his great performance below:

Scotty McCreery sang the anthem at Game One, and country legend Ronnie Dunn will sing it at Game Three. Looks like baseball loves its country stars!

Trace Adkins & Ronnie Dunn Singing At World Series

Trace Adkins and Ronnie Dunn have both just been announced as performing the national anthem at the World Series. Fellow country artist Scotty McCreery recently sang the anthem at game one of the baseball series. Trace will perform tonight at the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals game in Texas, and Ronnie Dunn will sing at game three on Sunday night.

I’m pretty sure they won’t pull a Christina Aguilera and forgot the lyrics to the national anthem on live television.

Six Years Ago Today, Trace Adkins…

Trace Adkins.

Six years ago today, Trace Adkins released something that changed the country music world. He unleashed the monster known as the “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk.” So slap your grandma and play the music video:

Who knew that in 2011 that we’d still be listening to this single?

Trace Adkins To Star In “The Healer”

Trace Adkins.

Looks like Trace Adkins has caught a bit of the acting bug. The musician and author can now officially add “actor” to his resume as he’s joining the cast for the movie “The Healer.” He’ll star alongside Isabelle Fuhrman, Joel Courtney, James Le Gros, Peter Bogdanovich and Natalie Dyer. They’re already filming in North Carolina for the thriller film. “The Healer” was written and is being directed by Giorgio Serafini and is being produced by Smile Production.

The movie follows the story of twins Nick and Michelle who head out on a camping adventure with their father. That’s when things go wrong and they get lost in a forest that has pretty much no escape.Trace will play the role of “The Truck Driver” who drives souls to hell, whose rig is a prison with no escape for eternity.

This isn’t Trace’s first acting gig this year, as he starred earlier this year in “The Lincoln Lawyer.” He just released his tenth studio album on Showdog-Universal “Proud To Be Here.”
