Looks like Trace Adkins has caught a bit of the acting bug. The musician and author can now officially add “actor” to his resume as he’s joining the cast for the movie “The Healer.” He’ll star alongside Isabelle Fuhrman, Joel Courtney, James Le Gros, Peter Bogdanovich and Natalie Dyer. The movie follows the story of twins Nick and Michelle who head out on a camping adventure with their father. This isn’t Trace’s first acting gig this year, as he starred earlier this year in “The Lincoln Lawyer.” He just released his tenth studio album on Showdog-Universal “Proud To Be Here.”

Trace Adkins Performing For Troops For 9/11

Trace Adkins.

Trace Adkins will be holding a special concert for American troops overseas in memory of September 11th. He will perform at the Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany on September 11th, and it will be broadcast live on the American Forces Network. Trace has had five previous tours with the USO, and this sixth time is his first trip to Germany for the troops.

“I always enjoy doing USO shows. You always run the gamut of emotions throughout the whole process. I usually try to tell people that the overriding sense for me is that when I come home I always feel a bit guilty, that they did more for me than I did for them. That they did more to lift my spirits than I lifted theirs.”

Trace was one of the first country artists to fly overseas in 2002 for the first USO tour in support of the military stationed in Europe.
