Country fans will have plenty of chances to sing hail to “The Chief” in 2012. That’s because rowdy country rocker Eric Church will be hitting the road headlining his “Blood, Sweat & Beers” Tour. The tour kicks off January 19, 2012 in Fort Smith, AK and will visit more than 50 cities across the United States.
Church hits the road riding high off the success of his album “Chief”, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart. The album, Church’s third release, sold more than 145,000 copies its first week and features top-15 singles “Homeboy” and the current chart-climber “Drink In My Hand”. The video for the latter demonstrates why “Blood, Sweat & Beers” is the perfect name for the upcoming tour.
Eric Church – Drink In My Hand
“We have been building our entire career for this tour. It is truly the culmination of a lot of blood, sweat and beer that has brought us to this point in our career,” says Church. “I have always trusted our fans to deliver with their dedication and passion, they have always exceeded my expectations. I have never been more excited to begin a tour than this one. The band and I are committed to emptying the tank every night and delivering the best show we can.”
Up-and-coming country star Brantley Gilbert will be opening for Church. The Big Machine Label Group artist has the current #1 song with “Country Must Be Country Wide”. Gilbert is described as having grit and attitude, which makes him a perfect fit for Church’s tour.
