Although Christmas day may be over, it’s not yet time to put away your Christmas albums. Earlier this season, Kelly Clarkson released her future classic, Wrapped In Red, which is chock full of classic covers and great originals. Yesterday, she appeared on the Today Show, with a stunning, countrified version of “Blue Christmas” that would make even Elvis proud.
As you likely have heard, newlyweds Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock are expecting their first child together, which was announced weeks after their recent marriage. Kelly has revealed in recent interviews, as well as through social media, that the pregnancy has not been easy on her body thus far, and that she has been experiencing her fair share of related sickness.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Kelly apologized to her fans for being “incredibly ill” and hoped that she would be feeling back to normal soon. Kelly tweeted “I’m so sorry 2 all my fans overseas 4 not doing promo 4 my Xmas album. I have been incredibly ill w/pregnancy. Hopefully it gets better soon.”
If you’re looking for a fun way to kick-start your weekend, then you might want to tune into NBC’s TODAY Show this Friday, March 23. We have no idea what topics will be discussed on the show, but we do know this: Kellie Pickler will be co-hosting.
Kellie will be filling in for the vacationing Kathie Lee Gifford and will appear with Hoda Kotb during the show’s fourth hour. There are few things in life that are certain, but one thing is that Kellie Pickler always makes for good TV!
The American Idol alum is still promoting her latest album, 100 Proof, which was released toward the end of January. 100 Proof is Kellie’s third album, following 2006′s Small Town Girl and 2008′s Kellie Pickler. The third time is definitely the charm for Pickler as 100 Proof is 100% country and we find it to be her best album yet. Read our review here and don’t forget to watch Kellie this Friday!
American Idol, Scotty McCreery, has been everywhere lately. After a whirlwind summer traveling the country on the American Idol Tour and working on his record, McCreery is not slowing down. He has been doing the promo run this week in support of his debut album, Clear As Day, which dropped yesterday. He performed on The Today Show, Live With Regis & Kelly, and had his own GAC Special entitled Introducing: Scotty McCreery.
And the television appearances continue for the young singer. Later, McCreery will be stopping by The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. He will also be on The Ellen Degeneres Show this Friday, October 7.
McCreery’s new album is available now. Make sure you check it out!
