With Valentine’s Day around the corner, Tiffany Houghton is preparing  to release “Love Like That,” the first of three exclusive, acoustic releases to iTunes and VEVO.

“Love Like That” will debut on Vevo this Friday, followed by “17 Again” and “Hey Boy” out later this spring. The trio of new tracks will follow in the footsteps of her acoustic version of “Phone Call,” which she released over Christmas as a gift to her “TifFANies.”

“The positive feedback on such an intimate piece is astounding,” comments Houghton. “I started out as a girl with journals full of words. Over time it felt natural to add melody and visual interpretation to these stories. Sometimes I think it’s important to look at each layer of a piece of art and appreciate it on its own.”

Upon the success of “Phone Call,” Tiffany opted to release three videos to accompany her tracks, with each video being directed in large by Tiffany. “She put us in the car and toted us between thrift shops and Goodwill as she searched for the perfect pieces that portrayed her vision,” recalled manager Jade Driver.

“I will always be involved in every detail of my art and my business. I remind my fans to be true to themselves, and it’s my responsibility to make sure that I’m doing the same,” says Tiffany. “I have a great team that truly respects me and helps orchestrate my unique and oftentimes intricate visions. No step of the process is ever passed along to anyone else without my involvement, which helps keep me genuine.”

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to interview country newcomer, Tiffany Houghton, and we’ve been anxiously awaiting new music ever since. On Tuesday, she released both her debut single, “High” to iTunes and her first official music video to VEVO.

The track was written and performed by Houghton, along with Nashville songwriters Lance Kotara and Matt Dragstem. It was produced by Ethan Mentzer of Atlantic Records’ pop group The Click Five. The video was shot on location in Miami and was directed and produced by Oscar and Martin Ubilluz of MU2 Productions . (Jake Miller, e one)

“This song was born from of a couple snaps of my fingers and an honest hook. I have never had so much fun writing, recording and performing a song before,” says Houghton. “I went into this video wanting to put a smile on people’s faces. I hope my fans have as much fun watching it as I had shooting it!”

“High” is available on iTunes: http://bit.ly/HighOniTunesTH .

Exclusive Interview: Introducing Tiffany Houghton

Tiffany Houghton.

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with country up and comer, Tiffany Houghton, while she was visiting New York. Upon meeting the Texan talent, she apologized profusely for her “messy” hotel room and excitedly told me about her adventures in the big apple.

Although she may be only nineteen, and technically, a Nashville newbie, Tiffany Houghton has always been driven by her love for music. When I asked Tiffany how she got into performing, without skipping a beat, she responded “Oh, I was born. I’ve always loved music. They say that I could sing before I could talk. I’ve always loved to perform,” She tells us. “I’d get on our kitchen counter and sing to the family. But I really got professionally into music when I was 10 and moved to NY, and did some Broadway and musicals and some acting.”
