Bluegrass’ top duo, The Roys, are set to premiere their new album on Sirius/XM. Their new record, titled “New Day Dawning,” will be released on Rural Rhythm Records on August 28th, but fans will be able to hear it early on satellite radio. The world premiere of “New Day Dawning” will hit the air on Bluegrass Junction on 8 am on July 24th. Fans can pre-order a signed and discounted copy now on theroysonline.com.
The album’s lead-off single “Still Standing” is an infectious track featuring Elaine on lead vocals. It’s already getting rave reviews and airplay on country and bluegrass radio. The song is a story about perseverance and personal identity, showcasing the duo’s harmonies.
The Roys are one of the fastest rising acts in country music. Their distinctive roots sound has enchanted fans since they hit the scene in Nashville six years ago.
“It’s definitely been a growth process for us,” explains Elaine of their unique genre-bending music. “We have nurtured this sound,” adds Lee. “I think the new music reflects that.”
The duo is pretty excited about releasing brand new music for their fans. Their first CD, “Lonesome Whistle,” kicked their career into high gear. The record earned them a spot on Billboard’s Top 50 Bluegrass Albums of 2011 Chart, won them the Inspirational Country Music Award for Bluegrass Artist of the Year in 2011, and gave the duo a number one single in “Coal Minin’ Man.”
