The Band Perry Shoot Video in New Orleans

The Band Perry.

Country music’s rising stars in The Band Perry have been non-stop working since their debut self-titled album was released on Big Machine back in 2010. The sibling trio took a trip south to New Orleans this week to film their brand new music video for “Postcard From Paris.” While there’s no clue to what the storyline of the video will be, the group teased fans with a shot from the set on Twitter and Facebook yesterday. Check out that picture of the three Perry siblings on their bicycles together and let us know your best guess about how the video will turn out:

EXCLUSIVE: RaeLynn Off The Voice, On Target For Country Career

raelynn

The Voice rolls on without RaeLynn.  But don’t waste a second worrying about the spunky 17-year-old.  She may be off the show, but she’s well on her way to a career in country.

The native of Baytown, Texas reached the quarterfinals before being eliminated at the end of last week’s results show.  America voted to save Jermaine Paul, which forced her and Erin Willett to sing for Team Blake’s remaining spot in the semi-finals.  RaeLynn’s version of “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry was sweet, but not sweet enough.  In the end, coach Blake Shelton made the tough (and for many, unexpected) call of cutting the country singer.

During her time on The Voice, RaeLynn was called everything from country cutie to heartbreaker to badass.  Whatever you call her, don’t call her done.  Elimination doesn’t mark the end for RaeLynn.  Instead, it signals the start of her next step.  From what we’re learned about RaeLynn, expect that step to be a big one.  She’s a spitfire who won’t be stopped.

In the following interview, we talked about the elimination, how she faced the music afterwards in the press room, handling the haters, a special “taste” of home and what lies ahead.

All For The Hall: A Night To Remember

bilde

Last night (04/10), some of the biggest names in country music gathered at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville in front of a crowd of 16,000 to raise money for the Country Music Hall of Hame and Museum.

This is the third year Keith Urban and Vince Gill have put on the All For The Hall show. Following suit with giving themes to each of the past shows, Keith made this year’s theme duos, vocal groups and bands. And some of the best acts were in attendance: Rascal Flatts, The Oak Ridge Boys, Diamond Rio, Pistol Annies, Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Thompson Square, Little Big Town and Alabama.

If that set list wasn’t enough, Keith added to the excitement by bringing out some special guests including Merle Haggard and Don Williams.

Both Keith and Vince acted as co-musical directors and house band leaders. They sat in on most songs and brought their bands together throughout the night.

The best moment of the night, of course, was Keith’s surprise: Rascal Flatts brought out a black duffel bag for Keith for him to find an Opry microphone stand inside. Read more about Keith’s surprise here.
