The Voice Season 4 champion and Big Machine recording artist, Danielle Bradbery, has released her first music video for her debut single, “The Heart of Dixie!”
The video was directed by Shane Drake and shot at Butterfly Hollow outside of Nashville. Bradbery’s best friends were on sight to co-star in her debut.
Danielle shared: “Shooting my first music video was an incredible experience. It matches perfectly the storytelling in the song. I can’t wait for everyone to see it!”
The rising star’s first studio album is due out in November.
Bradbery stole the hearts of America last spring as part of Team Blake on The Voice. Not only did Bradbery take home the title, she also sold the most iTunes downloads in the show’s history and was the youngest contestant ever to win.
We expect to see continued success from the seventeen-year-old country powerhouse!
Cassadee Pope recently sat down with Rolling Stone to discuss her up and coming country music career. In the article, Cassadee discusses the overwhelming interest of people regarding why Cassadee chose to travel down the country music path, rather than continuing down the path she previously trekked.
For those of you who don’t know, Cassadee was previously involved with a band called Hey Monday, which is best known as a former opening act for Fall Out Boy and Yellowcard, as well as part of the 2010 Warped Tour bill. Now, since her Season 3 win on NBC’s The Voice, Cassadee has been exploring her country music options, ultimately choosing to sign with a major Nashville label (Big Machine) and record a country album (Frame by Frame, due out on October 8, 2013). Cassadee explains to Rolling Stone that her decision to embark on a country music career was personal, as the genre is allowing her to tell stories, get personal, and experience a new-found sense of vulnerability.
Winner of NBC’s “The Voice”, Cassadee Pope, will be releasing her debut album, “Frame By Frame,” on October 8th. In order to get fans excited for the release, Cassadee has taken song leaking into her own hands. Every two weeks until the October 8th release, Cassadee will release an additional track from “Frame to Frame” on iTunes! The first of the many tracks to be leaked, “You Hear a Song,” is now on iTunes for download.
Head over to iTunes and get your sneak peek of Cassadee’s first solo project! And, remember to check back every two weeks for another new track off of “Frame to Frame”!
Long before The Swon Brothers and Danielle Bradbery brought country music to NBC’s The Voice, country-rocker Jared Blake was representing country music for “Team Blake” on Season 1. During his time on the show, he worked closely with Blake Shelton, was mentored by Reba and won fans over with his own unique spin on songs like “Use Somebody” and “Not Ready to Make Nice.”
Since appearing on The Voice, Jared has been featured in magazines, touring, and releasing music, with his new single “Countryfied” recently hitting radio. We had a chance to chat with Jared and catch up on what he’s been up to and what the future hold.
KIC: For those readers who may be ‘meeting’ you for the first time in this blog, can you give us a little bit of a back story as to how you began performing?
JB: I started in church. Sang my 1st country song in the 8th grade for the school talent show. “Don’t Rock the Jukebox” by Alan Jackson. The girls screamed and I was hooked.
KIC: You appeared on the first season of The Voice and were a member of “Team Blake.” What was the best thing about that experience and what did you learn from the show?
JB: Reba told me I was exactly what she looked for in a artist and not to change a thing “You’re perfect” she said. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Long before country was a mainstay on NBC’s The Voice, Jared Blake brought country to the small screen as a member of Team Blake in 2011. Now Blake has released his first single “Countryfied” to radio, with an album to follow. The track was produced by Grammy-winner, Skidd Mills (Saving Abel).
Blake is currently performing on his nationwide “Countryfied Tour” promoting the single and playing live shows at some of the nations’ largest events and biggest stages. He has recently performed alongside of Billy Currington and Jerrod Niemann.
Our friend, Gwen Sebastian‘s, self-titled album will be released this Tuesday, June 25th!
Distributed by Warner Music Nashville, the album includes the lead single, “Suitcase,” which Sebastian co-wrote with songwriter, Nicole Witt. The song has been getting high praise since its release, and you realize why once you hear it. Sebastian’s vocals are powerful, and her country twang and personality shine on the track. The record also features special guest, Miranda Lambert, and Sebastian’s parents provide background vocals as well.
As you know, Sebastian gained popular recognition when she appeared on Season 2 of NBC’s The Voice as a member of Blake Shelton‘s team. Since then, Sebastian has been busy working on her album, touring extensively with Coach Blake as a background vocalist, and doing her own solo shows. She will also be opening select dates on Lambert and Dierks Bentley‘s Locked and Reloaded Tour this summer.
Congratulations on the release of your album, Gwen! We’re very excited for you.
The Voice finale for season 4 aired last night, and it’s a three-peat for Blake Shelton. The new Voice title went to Team Blake’s 16-year-old country singer, Danielle Bradbery.
Danielle was a favorite from early on in the competition. She consistently wowed the coaches and audience every week. The Voice was the first audition she ever had, but you would never know that watching her perform. She looked like a seasoned professional on the stage, and her top-notch vocals seemed effortless. Danielle has “it”… we are going to see a lot of her in country music!
Coach Blake has won the last three seasons of The Voice. We love getting to see Shelton mentor the contestants and help navigate their careers. He really is so wonderful with his team, and he truly sticks with them once the show is over.
It also happened to be Shelton’s birthday yesterday and I think the win was a pretty awesome present!
Fellow Team Blake members, The Swon Brothers, came in third place. Zach and Colton are on great duo and I think they are going to be very successful as well. I am still blown away by their version of “Danny’s Song.” It’s a must download from iTunes if you have not grabbed it yet.
I also want to recognize Team Usher member, Michelle Chamuel, who finished as the runner-up. She was so great this season as well and what a humble and gracious personality.
I truly think this was the best season of The Voice thus far. The talent was excellent, and Usher and Shakira were perfect additions for our two favorite guys, Blake and Adam.
Congratulations to Danielle and Blake, as well as The Swon Brothers & Michelle! We wish you all continued success with your music careers!
Until Season 5, Voice fans…
Check out Danielle performing “Maybe It Was Memphis” from earlier this season:
Danielle Bradbery, Holly Tucker, and The Swon Brothers all advance to next week’s Top 8. Team Adam also returns all three remaining members, while Usher and Shakira each had to say good-bye to another teammate last night.
Blake definitely put together a strong team, and all three should do well with a career in country music in the future.
First, Danielle is a star! She has powerful vocals that are always spot on. The voice mixed in with her amazing stage presence and personality makes her a definite front-runner in the competition. She seems like a seasoned performer, yet she is the youngest contestant and the show was her first audition.
Next, we have Holly Tucker. She’s another fantastic vocalist, who I think just had her best performance this week. All I could say after watching her version of “How Great Art Thou” was ‘DANG! That was awesome!’ And I’m not southern… Blake is rubbing off on me.
Finally, the Swon Brothers. They are so unique and are as country as you can get. Whether they are rockin’ out or slowing things down, the brothers truly shine together.
Blake may just have another win on his hands. Could it be a three-peat for Team Blake? I think Adam is his biggest competition right now, and it will probably come down to a Team Blake vs. Team Adam showdown.
Team Blake advances another week and is stronger than ever!
It was Top 12 time on The Voice this week, and the voting was left completely up to the public. The coaches did not get a vote nor could they save anyone. Usher and Shakira each ended up losing a team member in Vedo and Garrett, respectively, while Team Blake & Team Adam remained in tact.
That means Danielle Bradbery, Holly Tucker, and The Swon Brothers move on! Blake sure did put together a powerhouse country team.
Congrats, Team Blake! We’re rooting for you. Keep it up and keep it country!
The Top 10 take the stage Monday night on NBC at 8/7c!
Check out the video of Blake performing with his team on Tuesday:
