1. All things Miranda and Blake! We just cannot choose between Miranda and Blake’s heartfelt, emotional acceptance speech after winning “Single of the Year” for “Over You,” Miranda’s fiery performance, Miranda’s classy acceptance speech for “Female Vocalist of the Year,” Blake’s confusion during his speech for “Male Vocalist of the Year,” and Blake’s acceptance for “Entertainer of the Year.” The Shelton household has a lot of redecorating to do because they are bringing home many new trophies after last night’s show!
2. Mmmmmotorboatin’…Brad Paisley teaching the pure and innocent people of the world just what Little Big Town is doing out there in the ocean…We would like to thank Brad for the entertainment and sex education we received at an hour that was far too early for such content on basic television!
Our Keepin’ It Country CMA Predictions
With the CMA’s coming up on Thursday night, country fans everywhere are buzzing with anticipation over who will claim the biggest awards. Will Taylor repeat as Entertainer of the Year or could someone else finally upset her shocked face? Could Kelly Clarkson score a major upset for female vocalist? Is there really any other choice besides “Red Solo Cup” for music video of the year?!

Taylor Swift Announces RED Stadium Tour
Last week Taylor Swift made a pretty exciting announcement – that she’ll be heading out on the “RED Tour” in 2013! Taylor will play to fans in both the United States and Canada on this North American Tour, which kicks off March 13th and 14th in Omaha, Nebraska in a double-header. She ends the tour with three back-to-back concerts in Nashville on September 19th, 20th, and 21st. She made the special announcement on ABC’s All Access Nashville with Katie Couric last week.
On The “RED Tour”, Taylor is currently slated to headline 58 shows in 45 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces in 2013. Acclaimed singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, whose duet with Taylor from her RED album, “Everything Has Changed,” has already reached the #1 position atop iTunes all-genre Top Songs chart, will be a special guest on all of the shows on the tour.
The 2013 dates will include nine stadiums – Detroit’s Ford Field, Dallas’s Cowboys Stadium, Toronto’s Rogers Centre, Winnipeg’s Investors’ Group Field, Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium, Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field, Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field, Foxborough, Mass.’s Gillette Stadium and Chicago’s Soldier Field.
About the tour, Taylor says:
“I didn’t think I could be any more excited about my RED album, but then I start thinking about how I’m going to put the new show together for The RED Tour. I have so many ideas about how to really bring this music to life, and I can’t wait to share the new show with all my fans!”

People’s Choice Awards Begin Open Nominations
The People’s Choice Awards have kicked off their open nominations phase on Tuesday, asking fans on who should make the final ballot for the fan-voted award show. In the country category artists nominated include the Zac Brown Band, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Rascal Flatts, Scotty McCreery, Jason Aldean, and Dierks Bentley with the option to write-in your favorite artist that didn’t make the list. Voting is open now at peopleschoice.com/pca.
The award show will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on Wednesday, January 9th at 9 pm EST on CBS. Who are you voting for?
Katie Couric Gets an All Access Pass to the Ladies of Nashville
ABC’s 20/20, hosted by Katie Couric, will take viewers behind the scenes and allow them to get up close and personal with some of Nashville’s leading ladies.
The Nashville-infused 20/20 installment will be a one hour-long special, entitled “All Access Nashville with Katie Couric.” The show will take viewers into the homes and private lives of country music’s biggest stars including Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert with the Pistol Annies. Additionally, viewers will hear from Luke Bryan, Martina McBride, Jason Aldean and more on the greatest female country singers of all time.
This special edition of 20/20, “All Access Nashville with Katie Couric,” airs on Friday, October 26, at 9:00pm ET on ABC.

Taylor Swift to Perform at American Music Awards
Music superstar Taylor Swift is among three artists announced today as performers at the American Music Awards next month. She’s joining Nicki Minaj and Linkin Park, along with previously announced Christina Aguilera. The American Music Awards (AMAs) will be broadcast live from L.A.’s Nokia Theater on November 18th at 8 pm EST on ABC. The AMAs are a fan-voted award show with voting still open at voteama.com right now, so make sure to get your voice heard!

Taylor Swift Exhibit Opens in Phoenix
Taylor Swift fans who don’t want to travel all the way to Nashville to check out some cool memorabilia from her tours are in luck! The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) in Phoenix, Arizona just opened a brand new Taylor exhibit on October 20th! The exhibit features her on-stage outfits, instruments, and memorabilia from the superstar singer-songwriter’s career. With her new album “RED” in stores this week, its the perfect time for Taylor fans to visit the new feature at MIM!
The space dedicated to Taylor in Phoenix is the largest ever for a single artist, matched only by one for Elvis Presley. Her display is located in the Artist Gallery. It starts off with how she learned to play guitar and to releasing her first single “Tim McGraw.” The exhibit has the original hand-written lyrics for “Tim McGraw” on display! Other one-of-a-kind items on display in Taylor’s exhibit include her signature Taylor KOA guitar from the music video, six-string acoustic, and cowboy boots.
The second section of the display shows her rise to super stardom with her instruments, stage wear, and set pieces from the “Speak Now World Tour.” Items on display are her sparkly red Gibson Les Paul electric guitar, and her gold Roberto Cavalli dress from her performances of “Mine” during the tour. Also from the tour are her Deering banjo and a Leilani ukelele. The centerpiece of this exhibit is a large prop bell that was featured as an interactive set piece during performances of “Haunted”.
“Not only is Taylor Swift one of the most successful musical artists in the world, she is also a multi-instrumentalist and an extraordinarily talented songwriter,” said Dr. Bill DeWalt, MIM’s president and director. “We are honored to showcase some of the important artifacts from Swift’s career, and we hope this exhibit inspires our guests of all ages to play an instrument and make their own music.”
Recent additions to MIM’s Artist Gallery include exhibits honoring “Pretty Woman” singer Roy Orbison, celebrated cellist Pablo Casals, and jazz luminary Joey DeFrancesco. MIM also recently “remixed” the Elvis Presley exhibit with new instruments, jumpsuits, and artifacts focused on his performances and movie-making stint in Arizona to celebrate the state’s centennial. Upcoming Artist Gallery additions include a display for Kronos Quartet opening in early November.
Taylor Swift Fans Are Seeing “Red”
Today marks the release of Taylor Swift‘s fourth album, “Red.” To celebrate this event, Clear Channel Radio will be airing an album release party, hosted by Ryan Seacrest (check your local listings for what time this event will air). The radio special will include songs and clips from Taylor’s new album, as well as an exclusive interview. Taylor will also share personal stories and her influences behind the tracks which make up the highly-anticipated “Red.”
Clear Channel is also instituting an “Artist Integration Program,” which will allow Taylor’s fans to access exclusive extended versions of interviews online, complete with video content and instant access to download a copy of “Red.” As if Clear Channel isn’t already bringing enough Taylor excitement to her fans, now through November 9th, fans can enter for their chance to win a “24-Hour Dream Life” contest. One lucky fan will be selected to bring three of his or her friends on a private jet for a behind the scenes tour of Taylor’s new show, front row seats at two tour stops, and backstage meet and greet passes with Taylor. The winner will also receive a signed guitar. Tune into any Clear Channel radio station every hour, every day for the keyword to text so you can be entered into the contest.

Walgreens To Sell Taylor Swift Merch and Albums
Taylor Swift is going to be a little bit everywhere as she releases her new album “RED” on October 22nd. Big Machine Records and Taylor have formed a partnership with American chain Walgreens to sell her merchandise and albums at all stores. It’s something that Taylor herself is excited about. She shares:
“I look forward to sharing my music and merchandise with my fans, and making it easier for them to pick up their favorite items when visiting Walgreens or Duane Reade stores.”
Taylor items available for purchase at Walgreens include bracelets, backpacks, iPhone accessories, t-shirts, and her brand new album “RED” which hits stores on October 22nd. Sales of her album will be sold at Walgreens at one minute after midnight on October 22nd.
