Sonia Leigh’s debut album on Zac Brown’s Southern Ground label was released yesterday. “1978 December” features her first single “My Name is Money” on the 10-track album available HERE on iTunes. She has been a surprise guest at a few of the band’s shows the last year, and she will join them on tour on select stops through the rest of the year.

Her album features guest appearances by almost the entire Zac Brown Band, including Zac’s vocals on “Roaming” and “Virginia.” Sonia has previously served as an opening act to the legendary Loretta Lynn and Marc Broussard.

Sonia Leigh has finally released the official music video for her single “My Name Is Money.” The video, filmed in Atlanta, features cameo appearances by her label head Zac Brown Band, and label mates Blackberry Smoke. Can you see the other cameos in the video?

Sonia Leigh Releasing New Album August 30th

Zac Brown Band’s Southern Ground Records artist Sonia Leigh is gearing up for the release of her brand new studio album “1978 December” on August 30th. The first single from the album, titled “My Name Is Money,” has been gaining airplay over the last few weeks since its release in early July.

The Atlanta, Georgia singer-songwriter will be joining the Zac Brown Band on their tour in the Fall. Leigh has toured previously with Loretta Lynn, Jason Mraz, and the Marshall Tucker Band.
