Kellie Pickler (a country artist who has already made a huge impact this year, shaving her head in honor of her friend who was going through chemotherapy to fight her battle with Breast Cancer) will flip the switch on the Opry’s barn backdrop, turning it pink for the night. We’re getting closer and closer to this year’s CMA Music Festival and GAC has just announced who will be signing at their booth this year! Check out who you can have a chance to meet below.
Thursday, June 7:
Please remember that autograph guidelines have changed for this year’s CMA Fest. Here is a highlight of how the new procedure works:
Fans will now enter a random drawing for the opportunity to meet various artists appearing in the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall. You will be able to enter the drawing at CMAfest.com. between May 14 (starting at 10:00 AM/CT) and May 28 (ending at 5:00 PM/CT). You will enter in your contact information and then select from the list of participating artists singing autographs in the Hall. You may select as many or as few artists as you’d like to meet. Once you submit your entry, you will not be allowed to go back in and change it so choose carefully! Duplicate entries will not be considered and all winners will be notified by Friday, June 1 via email.
CMA will also have a limited number of tickets on-site at the Festival for those who can’t get to a computer to register ahead of time. For more information on this, please see the Fan Fair Hall page at CMAfest.com.
Not every artist participating in the Fan Fair Hall will be part of the autograph drawing. There will be many opportunities for patrons to obtain multiple autographs from artists by just walking around the Fan Fair Hall. So don’t lose hope if you don’t get picked!
Lambert, a three-time winner of the ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, has been added to the lineup for Thursday, June 7.

Sarah Darling has landed a new venture as the first celebrity spokeswoman for the national Crock-Pot Crockstars Confessionals campaign to support recipe sharing for the line of slowcookers.
This is no small marketing campaign. Darling’s image was printed on more than 1 million Crock-Pot packages that are shipping to U.S. stores. Plus, Darling helped kick off the brand’s fall season of “Crocktober” by sharing her Crock-Pot slow-cooker recipes through viral videos, live streaming events and social media with Crock-Pot’s estimated 1.5 million fans.
“Crock-Pot was attracted to me because I’m new in this industry, and they wanted to bring on someone who they could grow with,” Darling said. “I’m also from the Midwest and I love to cook. It matched up perfectly.
The partnership began when John Alexander, VP, Marketing/Artist Management, Black River Entertainment, approached his friends at Crock-Pot’s parent company, Jarden Corp., about Darling. Alexander has worked with Jarden products in the past, helping connect Country stars with popular consumer products.
Susan Selle, Crock-Pot’s VP, Global Brand, Shopper and Customer Marketing, says the company’s internal research shows that Crock-Pot consumers engage closely with Country Music and listen to Country more than other types of music. They are also driven by food and fashion.
“There is a natural affinity for the music,” Selle said. “So, obviously, we identified Country Music as an influencer for our Crock-Pot consumers.”
Darling’s personality, fashion sense and artistic style matched especially well with Crock-Pot consumers. So much so, that beyond the traditional and social-driven marketing, Crock-Pot in early November launched a customizable Crock-Pot Create A Crock slowcooker through a live streamed concert on Crock-Pot.com, featuring Darling with other Country stars. Darling played new songs and a Christmas song; it was hosted by TV and radio personality Storme Warren, and the singer shared her own favorite Crock-Pot recipes.
“The whole idea with Sarah is she is lovely, and she is an up-and-coming Country talent, and she also loves to cook,” Selle said. “She is authentic, and she really does have great slow-cooking recipes.”
Darling delights in her role as Crock-Pot’s first “Crock-Star,” signing Crock- Pot recipe cards for fans and using social media networks like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to share recipes along with fashion photos and daily updates on her life.
“When I moved to Nashville, I didn’t know anybody,” Darling said. “And this is just one of those things that my grandmother did for me. She bought me a Crock-Pot and said, ‘I know you’re going to be living on your own. This is how you make a pot roast.’ It’s like a little piece of home, just like comfort food. To me, I think, Country Music is very much about home. It’s about true stories and real things, and real life. And to me, it all ties in.”

Sarah Darling is the latest country music icon immortalized on the legendary wall of the Palm Nashville. Her likeliness was unveiled on Friday, as a caricature on the wall of the restaurant. This long-standing tradition of drawing celebrities, local regulars, and business people to the walls began at the New York City location. Instead of “singing for supper,” artists were encouraged to draw an original portrait on the wall to pay their tab. That tradition spread to the other locations, like the Nashville location Sarah is now a part of.
“The Palm is such a staple in Nashville! I’m truly honored to have my picture in the mix with all the greats on the wall,” exclaimed Darling “I’m truly excited!”
With the addition of Sarah’s portrait to the wall of Nashville’s Palm, it’s obvious that this country music newcomer has found her place on Music Row. Her recently released version of “O Holy Night” has been climbing up the charts, with the music video shot inside the Laura Turner Concert Hall of Nashville’s Schmerehorn Symphony Center. The single was quickly adopted as the official Christmas song by the city of Nashville for 2011. She’ll be performing at the upcoming Music City Bowl on December 30th.
Black River Entertainment artist Sarah Darling has a lot to celebrate this Christmas season. She’s just released the music video for her holiday single “O Holy Night,” and the City of Nashville has declared her single to be the city’s official Christmas song for the 2011 season. Nashville is using the song in their Convention & Visitors Bureau free holiday e-card. In addition to the e-card, Nashville is giving fans the opportunity to win the “Sarah Darling V.I.P. Sweepstakes” for a 4th of July getaway for two including round-trip airfare, a chance to meet Sarah, hotel accommodations and much more! The first 500 entrants will receive a free download of the music video.
“O Holy Night” made Sarah the first artist to film a music video inside the Laura Turner Concert Hall of Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Directed by Robert Swope, the music video became a number one for Sarah this year.
Sarah will perform her Christmas single at the Ryman Auditorium this weekend. She’ll take the Grand Ole Opry stage for the ninth time in her career. Fans can catch her at both the 7:30 pm CST and 9 pm CST shows tomorrow night at the Ryman.
Sarah Darling announced on her Facebook page this afternoon that she’ll spend tomorrow shooting the music video for one of her favorite Christmas songs.
