Sara Evans’ new music video “My Heart Can’t Tell You No” debuted this morning on CMT, iTunes and VeVo on YouTube. Each premiere will feature an alternate ending to the music video, so to see each of them you’ll have to get it on all three sites! The music video was directed by Peter Zavadil, who has worked with Sara on three previous videos: “Suds in the Bucket,” “Born to Fly,” and, “A Real Fine Place To Start.”

“I am so excited about releasing this video,” said EVANS. “It’s a different kind of video than anything I’ve ever done before. We had SO many wardrobe changes and the plot is so full of drama! I can’t wait for my fans to see it!”

Fans can also visit Sara’s official website today for a chance to win an autographed iPad that includes each version of the dramatic music video. Watch the YouTube version under the “read more” tag and let us know what version you like best!

We will be seeing Sara live this weekend in Barrie, Ontario at the CMT Music Festival as she opens for Rascal Flatts. We saw her at the Capital Hoedown earlier this month already. The single is great live!

Day Three: The Capital Hoedown ends with a Party

The final day of the second annual Capital Hoedown country music festival ended with a bang in Ottawa on Saturday night. With a day packed with stars and gates opening at noon, earlier by three hours than the first two days, country music fans in Canada’s capital were ready to party from the start. While the temperatures were hot and hard for some fans to take, it didn’t stop the fans from packing in to the general admission and VIP areas all day long, even after two nights of partying. And it really was partying: Friday night after the crowd was forced out of the park after Kenny Chesney, security found one fan passed out in a porta-potty.

The day kicked off right with Hoedown Showdown winners Wyatt introducing themselves to the crowd. The band won the chance to open up the final day of the Capital Hoedown with a contest that included a live competition in front of judges for who would get the line-up spot. The boys merged rock with country, and it was clear how excited they really were for the opportunity: they took over the whole stage and were all smiles even with the blazing heat. Their families were also in attendance at the festival, and watched proudly. The most memorable performance was their radio-friendly “Airplanes.”

Sara Evans’ “A Little Bit Stronger” Goes Platinum

Sara Evans.

Sara Evans’ “A Little Bit Stronger” has now been certified platinum by the RIAA this weekend in digital sales for selling over one million downloads. Co-written by Lady Antebelum’s Hillary Scott, Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey, the single exceeded all of Evans expectations. Scott wrote the song after a tough break-up in her life, and has said the song is personal to her even though she is in a good relationship now.

“This song has exceeded all of my expectations. I knew ‘A Little Bit Stronger’ was a hit the first time I heard it and what makes it even more special are the stories I hear from people about how this song has touched them. I am so blessed to have been able to record such an amazing song, written by HILLARY SCOTT, LUKE LAIRD and HILLARY LINDSEY, who are all dear friends of mine.”

Evans is featured in the July issue of Shape Magazine in their Fit & Famous section, as well as in Self Magazine’s feature on country stars’ favorite recipes, alongside Carrie Underwood, Sheryl Crow and Miranda Lambert.

Sara Evans is a little bit Stronger

Sara Evans.

Sara Evans was on-hand in Nashville this week celebrating her multi-week number one hit “A Little Bit Stronger.” Co-writers Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, Hillary Lindsey and Luke Laird joined her at the party for the song originally on the Country Strong movie soundtrack. The song was inspired by a tough breakup Scott suffered through. Luke Laird, known for his hits with superstar Carrie Underwood, earned his sixth number one single with A Little Bit Stronger. It’s the first number one non-Lady Antebellum track that Scott has written on.
