Tomorrow’s Valentine’s-themed episode of “Chelsea Lately” will feature multiple Grammy nominated and winning country star, Billy Ray Cyrus. Fans can tune in at 11pm ET/PT on E! Entertainment tomorrow, February 13th, to watch.

This week also saw Cyrus drop two new singles. One being the re-imagining of his 1992 hit “Achy Breaky Heart”, featuring Hip Hop artist Buck22 and Larry King, titled “Achy Breaky Heart Pt 2″.

“It all started with Larry King… We were playing around in the studio and decided to do something fun for the 22nd anniversary of the song,” CYRUS notes of the raucous remake. “It’s so wrong, it’s right. Happy Valentine’s week…”

The other was the considerably more sombre “Hope Is Just Ahead”, a duet ballad Cyrus recorded with music legend Dionne Warwick at Jamie Foxx’s studio in LA. A portion of the proceeds of “Hope Is Just Ahead” will be donated to “Do The Write Thing-National Campaign to Stop Violence”, an organization that helps students at the ground level and tries to prevent violent behavior before it escalates.

Joshua Scott Jones Releases Debut Solo Single

Joshua Scott Jones, best know as part of the country duo Steel Magnolia, is going solo!

Jones has just released his debut single, “Honk (If You’re Tonky),” and the track is available now on iTunes and other digital outlets. Regarding the new single, Joshua had this to share: “‘Honk (If You’re Tonky)’ spoke very loudly to me right off the bat as an anthem for guys. It speaks to the misunderstood side of men, that makes us rough around the edges while carrying the burden of a big heart and just wanting to live in harmony with yourself. What better than an ‘anthem’ for a first single?” You can stream and take a listen to the track here: http://youtu.be/feWZnCS5iHs.

The song serves as the lead single to his upcoming album, The Healing, due out later this year. You name the role, Joshua took it on with this album. From singing, writing, and playing multiple instruments (guitar, piano and even some percussion) to executive producing, this very personal album is all Joshua.

He explained: “It feels like a long time coming. It’s like moving into a new home or getting a new car; you have strong sentiment and deep attachment for the old car, but are eager to get behind the wheel of the new one.” He continued on to say, “I feel like at this point in my life as an artist, I can’t be anything but candid. The record certainly reflects my headspace over the last few years and tells the story of what I’ve gone through, especially the title track of the record, ‘The Healing.’”

Jones will be a playing a public showcase during Country Radio Seminar (CRS) week, Wednesday, February 19th at 12th & Porter. There, fans will get an advanced listen of his new material.

Jones is also looking forward to hitting the road again and connecting with the audience. Tour dates will be announced soon so stay tuned.

Jo Dee Messina Set To Tour & Release New Album

Jo Dee Messina

According to The Boot, Jo Dee Messina will be kicking off her tour this month! She will be doing a few dates in the United States before heading  to Canada.

Last year, Messina completed her contract with Curb Records, parted ways with the label, and decided to take full control of her music and career.

For months, she has been working on her upcoming album with a little help from her fans. Through Kickstarter, she was able to raise more than $100,000 for the project, and her fans have also helped her pick every song for the record as well as the first single. The single, “Peace Sign,” was just released through her own label, Dreambound.

She tells Billboard:

They [the fans] picked every song for this record. We’d been working on the record since last year. We’d put little snippets of demos or live performances up on Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube, and let people decide thumbs up or thumbs down. Then, we started getting involved with Kickstarter, and people got a chance to participate in the recording process of the album.

Now, Messina will be hitting the road to play for all of those loyal, supportive fans.

Kellie Pickler - Little Bit Gypsy

Country sweetheart and one of our favorites, Kellie Pickler, has released her new single, “Little Bit Gypsy.”

The song is set for Pickler’s upcoming fourth studio album, which is expected to be out later this year through Black River Entertainment. The track was co-written by Pickler’s husband, Kyle Jacobs, with Tammi Kidd Hutton and Fred Wilhelm, and produced by Frank Liddell and Luke Wooten.

“Little Bit Gypsy” is the follow-up to the breathtaking “Someone Somewhere Tonight.” From ballads to high energy, Pickler can do it all.

It is no secret that we love Kelly Clarkson, and we’re pretty excited because radio officially played her new country single, “Tie It Up,” today! That means, studio quality audio has surfaced!

The song is very true to Clarkson’s life right now and her upcoming wedding. She will be marrying Starstruck talent manager, Brandon Blackstock, this fall.

“Tie It Up” was co-written with close friend and singer-songwriter, Ashley Arrison, Shane McAnally, and Josh Osborne. That’s a great songwriting team right there! The song is catchy and fun, and Clarkson’s vocals are always second to none. This is the three-time Grammy winner’s first up beat country single, and what a good choice it was. It has radio hit written all over it.

We are so thrilled that Clarkson is releasing more country music in addition to pop! The single is expected to be released to iTunes and other digital formats on June 25th.

Also, Clarkson is looking for fun wedding photos for the lyric video for “Tie It Up.” Tweet your pictures to @kelly_clarkson with #tieitupvideo. Kelly will be picking her favorites!

Dierks Bentley Releases New Single “Bourbon in Kentucky”

77bd464825d5bb362662cacf_480x319

Dierks Bentley‘s new single “Bourbon in Kentucky” was released to radio today! The song will officially be going for adds on June 10th.

“Bourbon In Kentucky” is the lead single from Bentley’s upcoming seventh studio album, Riser, due out this fall.

The track describes the deepest pain and depression that comes from an unbearable loss, and the lengths a person goes through to try to kill or ease that pain. Bentley began working on the album after he lost his father in June 2012.

Bentley’s intensity in “Bourbon” is matched by the haunting background vocals provided by Kacey Musgraves. He shares:

“I’ve never heard anything like ‘Bourbon’ before. I really love the angst of it. I’ve been there before where you can’t drink your way through a heartache or a broken heart. There’s such an aggressive lonesomeness in this song.”

Bentley also does not want people making assumptions about the upcoming album’s sound:

“I don’t want anyone to have any preconceived notions of what the rest of the album’s going to sound like. I’d just like this first song out there to kind of shatter any expectations.”

Dierks is currently on the road with Miranda Lambert for their Locked & Reloaded Tour.

You can STREAM “Bourbon” right now on www.Dierks.com! Just share via your Facebook or Twitter, and you’ll get to listen to the new track.
