Eric Church Releases “Give Me Back My Hometown”

Country bad-boy, Eric Church, is adding more gasoline to the flames of fans’ anticipation for the upcoming release of his new album The Outsiders, with the release of the second single “Give Me Back My Hometown“.

This wistful song, written by Church and Luke Laird, is sure to be a hit with listeners who grooved on out to “Like Jesus Does” and “Homeboy“. Simultaneously rock and country, and all signature Eric Church, “Give Me Back My Hometown” follows quick on the heels of the highly touted first single “The Outsiders“.

“Church was already at the vanguard of contemporary country’s rock movement… Like a modern-day Lynyrd Skynyrd, Church manages to be simultaneously more rock’n’roll and good-old-boy than anyone else out there – no easy task,” Billboard Magazine wrote about this ACM and CMA award winner. And Rolling Stone named “The Outsiders” one of the “100 Best Songs of 2013″ citing “Leave it to the classic rock-loving Nashville badass to cook up the heaviest ‘country’ song in years – a radio hit that plays like some demon spawn of Def Leppard, Black Sabbath, and “Born to Be Wild.””

The Outsiders will be Church’s fourth studio album and fourth collaboration with producer Jay Joyce (Emmylou Harris, Little Big Town) and follows in the footsteps of Platinum-certified Chief, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts.

Big boots to fill, but “Give Me Back My Hometown” goes a long way to filling them.

To purchase “Give Me Back My Hometown” you can go to iTunes.

New Music From Gretchen Wilson

340

Grammy Award-winning artist, Gretchen Wilson, is back in full force and has plenty of new music set to be released this year!

In 2009, Wilson formed her own record company, Redneck Records. Her first album release under her label was her I Got Your Country Right Here CD. The record included the song (and one of my personal Gretchen favorites), “I’d Love To Be Your Last,” and garnered two Grammy nominations.

Wilson’s new album, Right On Time, will hit stores on April 2nd and will feature the single, “Still Rollin.'” The song, penned by Wilson and Vicky McGehee, ships to radio this week.

The critically acclaimed singer/songwriter is very excited for her upcoming releases:

I am very excited to have so much new music coming out this year… We are already touring, and are looking forward to an incredible year with old friends, and new beginnings!

On May 28th, Wilson will also be releasing an album of classic 70s rock hits entitled Under The Covers. And if that isn’t enough new music for all of you fans, she is releasing a full-length Christmas album in October.

We are happy to have all of this Gretchen music to look forward to!

Rascal Flatts Release New Single

Rascal Flatts

What’s better than new music from some of our favorite boys?

Rascal Flatts has released their new single, “Banjo,” from their upcoming album set to drop this spring. The song will officially impact country radio on January 17th.

Jay DeMarcus describes the song as:

“a sentiment about getting away from it all, getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and sort of breaking out and finding a spot way out in the country and drivin’ and drivin’ and drivin’ until you go so far you start to hear a banjo.”

You can listen to the song on the Flatts’ official website: http://www.rascalflatts.com/videos.

Meanwhile, the super trio hits the road this week with special guests Sara Evans & Hunter Hayes for their Thaw Out 2012 Tour. The trek kicks off in Charleston, West Virginia on Thursday, January 12th. Click here for more information and tour details.

Don’t forget to get those requests in for “Banjo” to your local radio stations!
