The album marks his debut for Blaster Records and is being backed by some of country’s biggest names.  It’s produced  by CMA’s reigning Male and Female Vocalist of the Year, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert (who had McCoy perform at their wedding), and renowned guitar-slinger, Brent Rowan.  Shelton and Lambert even contributed background vocals for the album’s lead single, “A-OK.”

Neal McCoy Releasing New Single Digitally Tomorrow

Neal McCoy.

Like earlier reported on Keepin’ it Country, Neal McCoy’s first single produced by the husband-and-wife team of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will be released digitally tomorrow. “A-Ok” features the Lambert-Sheltons singing backing vocals on the track, which they co-produced along with Neal’s album. The up-beat, happy track is a catchy little tune about seeing things half-full, not half-empty.

“I think any song that says ‘It’s gonna be okay, it’s gonna be alright…’ and feels like this one does, has got to be a winner. People really want to hear, and almost need to hear, that right now…Times being the way they are, and something that makes people feel good? Well, anyone who knows me knows I’m all about that,” explains the good timin’ entertainer.

It’s been 21 years since Neal McCoy’s first single was released to country radio. He’s charted over 25 singles since then, five of which were number one hits and two received BMI Song Of The Year honors. Neal expects his new single to do even bigger things for the music veteran, who was the wedding singer for Miranda and Blake’s wedding this Summer.

“A-Ok” will be available everywhere digitally tomorrow.
