Natasha Bedingfield accidentally let a little secret out a little early in an interview with Billboard. The pop singer revealed that she will sing her hit duet “Easy” with the newest members of the Grand Ole Opry, Rascal Flatts, at the CMA Awards November 9th. It will be the first CMA awards performance for the singer. It has not been announced yet by the Country Music Association or Rascal Flatts, but we’ll take this one as a guarantee!

Watch the surprise announcement, and her thoughts on the duet with Rascal Flatts, during the interview:

Rascal Flatts to Debut “Easy” Music Video Friday – see pictures now!

Rascal-Flatts-Natasha

Rascal Flatts took the advantage of having the thousands of country music fans in Nashville during CMA Fest week to find eager extras for their brand new music video, “Easy.” The song, which features Natasha Bedingfield, is the new single off of “Nothing Like This,” and is racing up the Mediabase country singles chart. Rascal Flatts had asked fans in the area to show up in formal attire, and used their own fans instead of actors to fill in the background of their video. Pretty cool!

The music video will finally premiere Friday, July 1st on CMT Music, (which is also Canada Day up here in the North). Fans can finally check to see if they made the final cut! Let us know if you see yourself in the music video, which airs at 10:45 AM ET on CMT and CMT.com.

A reader sent in his pictures from the music video shoot. Do you have some pictures to share? Have a story about being on set or meeting the boys? Let us know and you could be featured in our brand-new weekly Fan Featured Fridays! E-mail us contact@keepinitcountryblog.com with your story.  See Daniel C’s pictures under the “more” link.

Taylor Swift Charity Show Cancelled Last Minute

swift

With a heavy storm in New York City yesterday, the New York City “Concert 4 NYC” concert was forced to be cancelled 45 minutes befor it was supposed to begin. The New York Police Department (NYPD) announced the cancellation to the waiting fans due to inclement weather.

Hosted by the Black Eyed Peas, the benefit show was set to feature special guests Taylor Swift, MC Hammer, Natasha Bedingfield, Carole King, LL Cool J and Debbie Harry.

@taylorswift13: I was like ‘I get to sing with Fergie in NYC?!’ and then there was rain and lightning and they’re like ‘it’s cancelled’ and I was like :-(

The show will be rescheduled at a later date. Proceeds benefit the Robin Hood Foundation and its mission to fight poverty in New York City.
