When you speak to Caroline Kole (or hear her speak), you cannot even fathom that she is a teenager. While we had been familiar with Caroline’s name in the past, we fell in love with her during the recent CMA Awards preshow when she walked the red carpet. Caroline has an intelligence, wit, and poise about her that makes her quite the teenage anomaly. However, when Caroline explained to us that she has been involved in music for half of her life, it became clear that Caroline, as a whole, is an exception to the rule. While you may find Caroline studying for an upcoming Physics test and keeping up-to-date on her school assignments one day, you could find her opening for Reba McEntire the next. And, by virtue of her humble, grateful attitude, Caroline might seem like an everyday teenager … but let’s be real, there is nothing run of the mill about her!
The queen of country is returning to television!
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that ABC has picked up the pilot for Reba McEntire‘s new sitcom, Malibu Country. McEntire will star in the comedy as a mom of three children who divorces her cheating husband and moves with her kids and mother from Nashville to Malibu. You never really know what’s up Blake Shelton’s sleeve these days. The prankster was all serious in an interview with CMT’s Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton this weekend. While talking about his wedding with Miranda Lambert, and how paparazzi helicopters caught him by surprise, he also shared a story about how Reba McEntire and Ronnie Dunn almost convinced the couple to get hitched in Vegas last year.
While drinking, the superstars had completely convinced the lovebirds to finally tie the knot while they were there for the award show. If it wasn’t for Reba’s husband, and one of Blake’s managers Narvel Blackstock, the big Texas wedding might never have happened.
“It really would have happened that night, and the only reason it didn’t was because Reba’s husband Narvel stopped it. Miranda got swept up in it too. Ronnie even said he had an ordained minister license, so we could say we were married by Ronnie Dunn. It would have happened had Narvel not been there. There were more than a couple drinks involved.”
Could you imagine getting married by Ronnie Dunn? Listen, and read, the entire interview on CMT’s Country Countdown site.
