Mustached Man Monday in Movember

Tyler Farr

For the final Monday in Movember, we decided to spotlight a man who reached a milestone in his career most recently…His first ever platinum single! Tyler Farr is a singer/songwriter from a small town in Missouri. Tyler learned about country music from his stepfather, who played guitar for the legendary George Jones.

Once Tyler realized his love for country music, he moved to Nashville to pursue his dream of becoming a musician. Tyler began working at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, a popular bar in Music City. After working at Tootsie’s for several months, Tyler convinced the management to allow him to perform. Tyler started performing four nights a week, along with maintaining his job as a bouncer.

Tyler also found himself becoming friends with Rhett Akins, who saw Tyler’s talent and wanted to work with him. Tyler ultimately worked with some of the best writers in Nashville and was signed to BNA Records. Tyler has written for Colt Ford and opened for Jerrod Niemann and Lee Brice before releasing his debut album, Redneck Crazy. The title track of Redneck Crazy recently was awarded with RIAA Platinum Certification.

Congratulations, Tyler, on your recent successes! Keep this artist’s name in your minds, ladies and gentlemen. Tyler is certainly going to be a huge part of country music moving forward!

Mustached Man Monday for Movember

Toby Keith USA

The second Keepin’ It Country Mustached Man for Movember is likely the most fitting on a patriotic day. As you all know, Toby Keith is as American as they come and he celebrates his love for his country in many of his smash hit songs.

Since 2002, Keith has made numerous trips to the Middle East to bring entertainment and encouragement to the United States’ men and women serving on, or near, the front lines. “My father was a soldier. He taught his kids to respect veterans,” said Toby. “It’s that respect and the thank you that we have a military that’s in place and ready to defend our nation; our freedom.”

Mustached Man Monday for Movember

Craig Campbell

Craig Campbell always knew he wanted to be involved with music and used his musical knack as an outlet growing up. He moved to Nashville in 2002 and began playing piano for different artists, including Luke Bryan and Tracy Byrd. Craig also became involved in songwriting and recording demos.

Craig eventually branched out on his own. His first song, Family Man, hit the radio in 2010 and peaked on the charts at 14 for US Country and 84 for US overall, respectively. Craig followed up his debut with Fish and When I Get It, both of which broke into the Top 40 for Country music. Perhaps Craig’s most noteable single yet has been Outta My Head, which hit airwaves in 2012 and became a Top 15 US Country Airplay song.

Craig’s album, Never Regret, was released in the middle of this year and peaked in the Top 30 for US Country music and Top 100 for US albums. Craig is currently out on the road performing his hit songs, as well as music off his two albums, Craig Campbell and Never Regret.
