Forbes magazine has released its listed of highest paid musicians in the world yesterday, and Toby Keith joins five other country artists near the top of the list. Keith is the highest-grossing country artist and earned the #11 all-genres spot, making $50 million USD the last year alone. He even placed higher than Kenny Chesney on the Forbes list for this year.
Tim McGraw tied superstar Beyonce and rock group Muse at the #18 spot, all three making $35 million USD in the past year. Rascal Flatts placed just one spot behind all three at #19, collectively making $34 million USD last year and remaining country music’s richest group. Kenny Chesney surprisingly came in at #20, only making $30 million USD.
The highest paid musicians are U2, ($195 million), Bon Jovi ($125 million), and Elton John ($100 million).
