]]> Florida police are on the lookout for country music singer Mindy McCreary after she took her 5 year old son, Xander, from his home. She does not have custody of her son, reports News Channel 5.  The Department of Children and Families held an emergency hearing yesterday, with the judge demanding Mindy return her son by 5 pm EST tomorrow to Lee County. There has been no AMBER alert issued for the missing child, as family is absolutely certain it was Mindy who took the boy.

The former Celebrity Rehab With Dr Drew star has been in trouble with the law before on drug-related convictions. She has overdosed several times, including once in 2008 where she ended up in hospital. She has been the center of tabloid attention since her first legal troubles became public in 2004. Her mother recently gave an interview to the National Enquirer, calling Mindy an “unfit mother” because of her drug addiction.
