Looks like Michael Buble really is a country music fan. A few years after letting Blake Shelton record a country version of his hit song “Home,” Buble has agreed to be part of another country music project… this time with fellow Canadian Shania Twain, CTV is reporting.
The pair have recorded a duet version of “White Christmas” for Buble’s Christmas album, which he sounds to be pretty excited about.
“There’s a couple duets that I really like,” Buble said of the new collection. “One with Shania Twain, which is really fantastic. ’White Christmas,’ we did. We did it bouncy. I was inspired by ‘Home Alone,’ the Drifters.”
There has been no official release date for the album as of today, however, it’s pretty safe to assume it will be out for this Holiday season. The album will be produced by David Foster and Bob Rock. The track list hasn’t yet been finalized, but other songs already recorded include “Jingle Bells” with the U.K. swing trio the Puppini Sisters, “Blue Christmas,” and his version of Mariah Carey’s hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Buble also has an original tune penned for the record.
Buble previously released a Christmas EP in 2003, but says that this is what he wanted to do when he established himself as an artist.
