Kellie Pickler Enjoys Busy Holiday Season

Kellie Pickler is one busy woman these days. While she gets ready to release her brand new studio album “100 Proof” on January 24th, she has found some time to enjoy the holiday season this year. She will be all over television for the Christmas season, including both the CMA Country Christmas special and a guest appearance on Michael Buble‘s Christmas special.

Tonight, catch Kellie performing “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” on the CMA Country Christmas special airing at 9 pm EST on ABC. Next week, Kellie will join Michael Buble on his first holiday special “A Michael Buble Christmas.” Her duet with Michael on “White Christmas” airs on Tuesday, December 6th.

“Michael and the entire cast was so warm and welcoming,” said Kellie. “They made me feel all ‘Buble,’” she laughed

Kellie Pickler is anxious to release her new album in January, which she feels showcases her more traditional country roots. “100 Proof” was influenced by artists like Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and Tammy Wynette.

Loretta Lynn Reschedules Performances Canceled by Illness

Country music legend Loretta Lynn officially rescheduled the dates she missed due to be hospitalized by pneumonia. Her Ashland, Kentucky and Durham, North Carolina shows will honor all tickets at the new date in the new year. The Ashland show originally scheduled for October 22nd will now be on January 7th, 2012 at the Paramont Arts Center. The Durham show originally scheduled for October 23rd will now take place on January 8th, 2012 at the Durham Performing Arts Center.

Loretta Lynn was released from hospital last week and no further dates are expected to be canceled. She’s nominated for a Country Music Association (CMA) award for Musical Event Of The Year for “Coal Miner’s Daughter” with Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow. The 45th annual Country Music Association awards will air live on ABC from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville at 8 pm EST.

Country music legend Loretta Lynn was hospitalized late last night with pneumonia, reports TMZ. The 76-year old singer was forced to cancel yesterday’s Kentucky tour date but plans to reschedule it in the near future. The venue’s website, the Paramount Arts Center, posted a message saying the date will be rescheduled “in the near future.”

Loretta recently underwent knee surgery and had to reschedule dates because of that as well.

Loretta Lynn Forced to Put Touring on Hold

The legendary Loretta Lynn has been forced to cancel all her tour dates through to her September 3rd show at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. The singer will undergo reconstructive knee surgery and has been ordered to rest by her physician to make sure she is able to have a full recovery.

“I’m sad to have to cancel any shows for my fans, but they tell me I’ve just got to stay off this knee for a while.”

Loretta Lynn Dehydrated, Cancels Concert

Loretta Lynn has been sidelined and forced to cancel her July 17th concert date at Jamboree in the Hills in Belmont, Ohio. The legendary singer has been diagnosed with dehydration after being hospitalized and has been ordered to rest after the extreme heat in Tennessee. The festival’s official website posted a statement from the 76-year old Lynn apologizing for the cancellation.

“I’m sad to have to cancel any shows – I’ve been looking forward to getting back out there to see all my fans.”

Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith, Montgomery Gentry and Tim McGraw will still headline as scheduled at the four-day music festival. Other performers include Justin Moore, Sarah Darling, Due West, Eric Church, Craig Campbell, Rodney Atkins, Neal McCoy, Luke Bryan, The Band Perry, David Nail, Josh Thompson and many others.
