Tim McGraw album details!

Tim McGraw.

Country music icon Tim McGraw is revealing more details about his highly anticipated release “TWO LANES OF FREEDOM.”  His first album for Big Machine Records will be released on Feb. 5, 2013 and is set to prove once again that on stage and on record, he remains dedicated to delivering music that is innovative, heartfelt and authentic.

“I feel like I’ve progressed in my work, and I’ve always strived to get better,” says McGraw. “On my last album, I was discovering some new sounds and new things that I wanted to do, scratching the surface of the direction I wanted to head. This album was a way to reach a little further back, to all that I’d done throughout my career, and bring both sides together—it’s a combination of that discovery, along with some rediscovery.”
On “TWO LANES OF FREEDOM,” the sense of nostalgia comes through on the hard-driving current single “One of Those Nights.”  The reverie of that song, though, is countered by the humor and joy of “Southern Girl” or the feel-good hangover of “Mexicoma.”  McGraw maintains that it was the album’s title track that really established the tone for the entire project.
“When we cut ‘Two Lanes of Freedom,’ there was such a freshness to it,” he says. “The track has this sort of Gaelic drive to it and really sets a palette for the whole record because it’s so visual—it has that summery, hazy image and I think that made the whole record open up for me.”
McGraw reaches some especially emotional depth in his performances on such songs as “Number 37405,” the lament of a singer-turned-convict.  Most powerful of all might be “Book of John,” a wistful account of a family going through the journal left behind by its late patriarch. The album closes with “Highway Don’t Care,” a breezy yet complex track that features Taylor Swift (the song is featured as number 13 on the album as a nod to her) and Keith Urban.

Kellie Pickler Cut Off By Husband

Kellie Pickler.

Kellie Pickler‘s songwriting husband Kyle Jacobs has finally put his foot down. Kellie tells PEOPLE magazine that her husband just won’t let her take home anymore animals when she’s out on the road. She admits in the interview that she’s known for giving away animals she finds at concerts, and that rescuing animals is one of her favorite things. Right now, Kellie has three dogs and a python named Boots, but that’s enough for Kyle.

“My husband will not let me have any more animals than we do now,” she tells PEOPLE. “He never knows when the bus rolls up at home, I open the bus door, and he’s wondering what critter’s going to crawl off of there now.”

While Kellie loves helping abandoned animals find new, loving homes, she admits that it’s not always easy to watch them leave.

“I love being able to take in rescue dogs, rescue animals,” Pickler says. “But the sad thing is when you get attached to them and you have to give them away.”

Kellie Pickler is a very busy woman these days. Between taping two different Christmas specials, and getting ready to release her new album “100 Proof” in January, she still found time to sit down with People Magazine and share how she gets her marriage to work with her busy career. In the interview, she calls her husband Kyle Jacobs a “blessing,” and that she has her best Christmas gift in their 1-year old marriage.

“Marriage is so special,” the country singer, 25, tells PEOPLE. “I never thought that I would get married, so I’m glad that I let that wall down. I’m glad that I let Kyle love me. He is the greatest blessing in my life.”

The pair secretly wed on January 1st, 2011 in the Caribbean, and are approaching their first anniversary together. They found a unique way to share their love for each other: writing it down in journals.

“He’s been doing it since before we got engaged and [then] I started a journal for him,” says Pickler. “It’s one of those things you write in not for any special occasion but just because you love one another. It shouldn’t take holidays for you to act like you like each other and be nice to one another. You should be like that every day.”

Kellie’s new album “100 Proof” will be released on January 24th. She describes the album as being influenced by country music greats Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette.

Danelle Leverett of The JaneDear Girls Pens Song For Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson & Danelle Leverett

The sometimes-country and international superstar, Kelly Clarkson, released her fifth album, Stronger, this week. The vocal powerhouse is in top form throughout the entire album providing a perfect blend of her versatile musical styles: soul, pop, country, urban, and singer-songwriter.

One of the tracks recorded by the two-time Grammy award winner was co-written by Danelle Leverett of The JaneDear Girls. Leverett penned the song, “The Sun Will Rise,” with country songwriter Kyle Jacobs. The stand-out track appears on the Stronger deluxe edition, and is sung as a duet with Clarkson and Kara DioGuardi.

The song is lyrically and melodically beautiful with Clarkson and DioGuardi’s vocals and deliverance of the song being equally as beautiful. “The Sun Will Rise” is about overcoming hardships and obstacles, and sends an inspiring message that everything will be all right. The song is one of my favorite tracks and serves as a fitting closer to the album’s theme of strength and empowerment.

Leverett posted the following heartfelt message on Facebook:

I’m in tears… Honored… Inspired… Humbled. Thank you Kelly Clarkson and Kara DioGuardi for singing a song that I wrote called “Sun Will Rise”. Two of my favorite singers singing one of my favorite songs I’ve written is a dream come true..! Kelly’s new album “Stronger” just came out so PLEASE support her and buy a copy!:) Thanks, Danelle
