It means everything to me as a writer…It’s validation that all of the years that you kept telling yourself to stick to your guns and stick to what you know, that you are on the right path and doing the right thing and doing what you are supposed to do. People called me crazy at first because we wrote four verses before we get to the chorus, but I stuck to my guns and said, ‘This is how I am supposed to write this song.’ For this to go number one and the American public to fall in love with this song, that is validation for how I like to write, and that is with no boundaries.
Fans of Moore and “Truck” can see it performed on Tuesday, May 29 on Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends. They will also be able to catch him with Tim McGraw on Monday, May 28, at a special Memorial Day concert at New York City’s Beacon Theatre during Fleet Week in remembrance and gratitude for service men and women. The concert will be streamed live via YouTube and to military bases around the world.
Moore will also be at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville on Saturday, June 9, on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage during the free concerts at Riverside Park. He will also perform an acoustic set at LP Field during the CMA Music Festival’s Nightly Concerts.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) today announced that Lionel Richie’s first album in five years, “Tuskegee,” was certified RIAA Gold in just one month this April. Kip Moore also earned a premiere digital song certification and first Gold single for “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.”
America’s sweetheart Carrie Underwood also earned a 2x multi-Platinum certification for “Jesus Take The Wheel.” Underwood also earned her 13th career Gold digital single award for “Good Girl.”

Kip Moore is giving fans an intimate look at his album release week with a brand new behind the scenes clip! His debut album “Up All Night” was released on April 24th and has been receiving rave reviews. His behind the scenes video includes footage from his tour and promotional appearances, and shows both the fun side of his album release as well as the chaotic side from the artist’s perspective. “I moved to Nashville 9 years ago with a backpack and a dream,” says Kip. “I still don’t think I can quite wrap my head around the fact that it’s actually happening.”
The clip also shows Kip being presented with the gold plaque for his single “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck,” which is currently at #2 on the Country charts and still climbing. Up All Night, which debuted on the Billboard 200 at #6, is available now on iTunes in both deluxe and standard editions via MCA Nashville.
