Kip Moore celebrates first CMA Nomination

Kip Moore.

Platinum selling singer/songwriter Kip Moore is nominated for his first CMA Award in the “New Artist Of The Year” category just weeks after celebrating his third consecutive No. one hit from his debut album, UP ALL NIGHT.

“It’s been a long road. I think back on the thousands of hours of songwriting and hundreds of thousands of miles we’ve logged on the road…I wouldn’t trade any of that for the quick and easy route. I’ve learned so much, and I’m truly honored to be up for the CMA’s ‘New Artist Of The Year’ Award,” said Moore. “I have to admit…this is also a little extra inspiration for us as we finish up the next album!”

Last year, Moore shot out of the gate with the best selling debut country album of 2012, which spawned the platinum, two week chart-topping hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” followed by two more No. one singles, “Beer Money” and “Hey Pretty Girl.”

Chicago Sun-Times calls him, “A kind of magical cross between the songwriting talents of a Jackson Browne, the grit of a Bruce Springsteen and the twang of a Willie Nelson or Merle Haggard, Moore has taken the top spot when it comes to the title of one of country music’s most promising new stars.”

Moore has relentlessly toured the country coast to coast this year with Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert and Toby Keith amid selling out his own headlining shows, often in just minutes. In November, Moore will join Lady Antebellum for their TAKE ME DOWNTOWN TOUR. For a full list of tour dates and more information, visit www.kipmoore.net.

There were some surprises, and some regulars, who made it to the final ballot this year. Check out the full list below and let us know what you think of this year’s nominees – do you think someone was snubbed? What shocked you? Who are you cheering for?

Kip Moore goes gold!

Kip Moore.

Congratulations to the team at MCA Nashville and Kip Moore! The rising country star was just awarded two gold certifications for his singles “Hey Pretty Girl” and “Beer Money” for each selling more than 500,000 copies since its release by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

It’s kind of a big deal for Kip, who said:

“’Pretty Girl’ and ‘Beer Money’ have been fan favorites on the road since we started playing them. Having the fans also want to have the music after the show – to connect and respond to our music that way, too – just fuels our fire even more.”

Kip was on Fox & Friends All American Concert Series this morning on Fox News. Did you catch his performance?

The ACM Awards Take Over Fremont Street

ACM-Awards-April-7-CountryMusicRocks.net_

Country music is taking over Las Vegas in April, as the ACM’s head to Sin City. While the coveted awards show will take place on April 7th, it’s the days leading up to the awards that will truly be “must-see” events!

Fremont Street is located in the heart of Las Vegas, and is only second in popularity to the infamous Las Vegas Strip. The Fremont Experience is a pedestrian mall downtown, which takes up a five-block radius and is well-known for being home to the world’s largest video screen (a whopping 1,500 feet long!). So, who can you expect to see at the Fremont Street Experience, performing on this monster screen? An incredible line-up consisting of co-headliners Gary Allan and Jake Owen, along with Randy Houser, Chris Janson, Jana Kramer, Kip Moore, Joe Nichols and Sunny Sweeney!

Kip Moore, Vince Gill & Pam Tillis appearing on Nashville

Kip Moore.

ABC’s hit new series “Nashville” is really pumping up its country music cred. After already having country stars Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert have cameo performances on previous episodes, producers announced that Kip Moore, the legendary Vince Gill, and Pam Tillis will be part of the February 27th episode.  The episode follows the birthday of character Deacon, who is played by Charles Esten.

Kip, who is a fan of the show, shares on why he hopes fans don’t think the real Nashville isn’t as dramatic:

”I don’t think that everybody believes that’s exactly how Nashville is. Tell people to lighten up a little bit. It’s TV. You gotta put the drama in there, and you gotta do stuff entertaining for people.”

Check out the preview for “Dear Brother” below. Who do you want to see appear on the show next?
