The legendary Tootsies Orchard Lounge will be celebrating it’s 51st birthday on November 23rd with one heck of a rock bash. They’ve announced that Kid Rock will headline their celebration before his performance that night at the Ryman Auditorium. It will be part of his national tour raising awareness for people in need.
Tootsies is world famous for being used as a green room by the likes of Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, and Ernest Tubb before their performances at the Ryman.
“Every time I end up at Tootsie’s its a good night, and I don’t expect this night to be any different. It’s cool to be celebrating their birthday party with them; I like parties and seem to excel in that type of atmosphere.” commented Kid Rock on the event.
The Tootsie’s Birthday Bash starts at noon on the streets of Nashville. Entertainment will take place on both Tootsie’s stages, the roof of Rippy’s, and on the street. After Kid Rock’s performance, the party will continue on into the night.
Tickets are available now on ticketmaster.com or at the Ryman box office. Ticket prices range from $45 – $85.
Just in case you haven’t heard the news, or track, yet, Kid Rock has recorded a duet with Pistol Annies member Angaleena Presley. The “Holler Annie” recorded a new version of Kid Rock’s “Care” which is out at radio now. This is the third version of the single, which previously featured Martina McBride and Mary J. Blige for different takes on the song. Angaleena’s version is the one that made it to country radio as a single, however.
