We recognize that not everyone is oh-so-happy around this time of year. With that being said, we thought we’d put together the best of the best anti-love songs by some of our favourite country artists. Whether you’re dealing with a bad breakup or simply boycotting Valentines Day, these songs should be on constant repeat!

The Road to the Ram Jam series will undoubtedly be the ultimate fan experience. It will feature five of today’s hottest country artists in advance of an invitation-only concert event on December 29, 2012 in Nashville, where all five singers will perform.

Among those five performers is Kellie Pickler. She is the first artist to help launch the series by offering country music fans the opportunity to win a free download of her current single “Tough” when they enter to win a trip for two to the Ram Jam concert.

The remaining four artists will be announced throughout the year. Along with Kellie, they will each receive a one year lease on a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn truck. In early 2013, the trucks will be auctioned off. Proceeds will go toward a military-focused charity chosen by each individual artist.

“Road to the Ram Jam extends the brand’s already established alignment with many of today’s top country music artists and their far-reaching fan bases by creating an innovative platform for promoting the artists’ music and connecting with their fans,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO of Ram Truck Brand. “We are excited to have Kellie and all the artists drive a Laramie Longhorn and experience firsthand the quality and refinement that make it the most luxurious Ram Truck ever produced by the company.”

On her involvement with the Ram Jam series, Kellie stated….

Kellie Pickler’s “100 Proof” Debuts at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart

Kellie Pickler‘s third album, 100 Proof, made it’s debut today on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart at No. 2 and debuted at No. 7 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

“I’m so proud of this album,” shares Pickler. “I want to thank the fans so much for buying it and supporting country music. I know these are hard times economically and the fact that people spend their hard earned money on 100 Proof is humbling.”

100 Proof has critics touting praise for Pickler with Entertainment Weekly calling 100 Proof Kellie’s “meatiest, most adventurous output yet.” The Miami Herald said “a major label won’t release a more authentic or better country album in 2012 than Pickler’s surprisingly terrific 100 Proof.” The Associated Press calls 100 Proof “hardcore country” and describes the song, “Stop Cheatin’ On Me,” as being “drenched in old-fashioned heartbreak.”

Parade shares that Pickler is “bearing her Southern soul” on 100 Proof and The New York Daily News says that “100 Proof has a far greater sense of place, with steel guitars, fiddles and banjos that don’t just sound like tokens but rather integral parts of the song. The opening cut, ‘Where’s Tammy Wynette,’ earns its invocation of the icon with a feisty tune and a wide vocal arc.”

Ticket Time For A Fast (But Not Furious) Kellie Pickler Fan

Getting a signed copy of Kellie Pickler’s 100 Proof proved pricey for one fan in North Carolina.

On Saturday, Kellie spent six hours at Best Buy in Kennesaw, GA meeting with her fans, taking photos and signing copies of her new album.  Then on Sunday, she headed to a Wal-Mart in Monroe, NC where hundreds of fans camped out all night just to get the chance to meet the NC native.  Kellie spent more than nine hours signing CDs and taking pictures with her home-state fans.

One of those fans was so eager to meet the country singer that he got his first speeding ticket on his way to meet her.  The cop who gave him the ticket showed up to Kellie’s signing and even posed for a picture with both Pickler and the guy who received the ticket (see below).  Kellie signed the kid’s ticket “Slow Down (or don’t get caught).”

On the same day as releasing her latest album “100 Proof,” Kellie Pickler announced that she has designed some kitty couture to help support her feline friends. As part of Cat Appreciation Month, Kellie will donate 100% of the proceeds to her cat-centric clothing towards the ASPCA (The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

Kellie teamed up with Fresh Step kitty litter to design the sweater for cat lovers.

“It’s time for cat lovers to truly display their cat pride. I collaborated with fellow cat lover and designer Geren Ford to create a sweater that we hope any cat parent would wear to show their kitty pride and that all animal lovers can wear in support of the ASPCA.”

Fans wanting to support the cause but don’t have the need for another sweater can easily get in on the fun by visiting the Fresh Step litter Facebook page and digitally place themselves in the same sweater Kellie is wearing below. The Fresh Step litter team will donate $1 to the ASPCA for every picture on Facebook through to March 12th, 2012, up to $100,000.

See pictures of the sweater below. It runs for $35 and fans can make sure to grab themselves one of Kellie’s co-creations by visiting the ASPCA’s online store while supplies last.

EXCLUSIVE: Interview With Kellie Pickler

Kellie Pickler.

We had the chance this morning to speak with the always-bubbly Kellie Pickler on her album “100 Proof” out on Tuesday. Kellie, who is recovering from a bad head cold, is ready to show the world this new direction and new side of her that her “friends” may not have seen before. Don’t get it wrong – she’s not making any apologies for her tribute to the old classic country that she loves. In our interview with Kellie, we discuss if marriage has an effect on her music, what she would have picked for a single if she had her way,  which songs were never meant for anyone to hear, and we gave her what she says is the hardest question anyone’s ever asked her in her career.

Kellie’s new album “100 Proof” is out next week. Her third studio album is easily the best she’s ever put together, with Frank Liddell and Luke Wooten working together to co-produce the record. She’s proud of the album, and she should be. See the different side of her that fans might not know in our exclusive interview below:
