Josh Thompson is getting ready to release the debut single from his second album on RCA Records, due out next year. The single, titled “Comin’ Around,” is a co-write by Josh with Kendell Marvel and Rodney Clawson about growing up and wanting to go back to the place you came from. The track was just sent out to country radio, and fans can start requesting it right now!

“For me, the point of this song is to be able to look back and see how you’ve grown and where you’re going,” says Josh.  “It’s part of finding that line where you go, ‘OK, it’s time to get my life together.’  I’ve definitely had moments like that in my life, and think my fans will be able to relate to that.”

Josh is currently in the studio doing a few last minute touches to his upcoming album, due out early 2012. He wrote every song on the record. He’s currently out on the road with Luke Bryan, with the 20-city tour coming to a close this weekend.

Miranda Lambert & Pistol Annies Switch Labels

Miranda Lambert.

Miranda Lambert has been part of a restructuring going on at Sony Nashville this week, but it’s not going to slow down her career. The fiery Texan who has been used to calling Columbia Nashville home is now part of RCA Nashville, CMT is reporting. She will remain part of the Sony Music Nashville umbrella, but under a different chapter of the label. Also effected by this move is Josh Thompson, who will also call RCA home. Sony Music Nashville owns BNA Records and Arista Records as well.

Miranda’s new album “Four The Record” will still be released in November as planned.

Just in case you aren’t sick of all those dance games just yet, Nintendo announced plans to release a sequel to Country Dance for the Wii gaming system. It’s a video game that makes the player get up and move, trying to copy what they see on screen in order to pass levels. It’s one way to get active, and have an excuse to dance a-long to your favorite country music songs.

Artists featured this time around include Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Ashton Shepard, George Strait, and even Eric Church. It’s sounding like a game country music fans will have to try out at least once, right? More artists, songs and features will be announced at a later date as the release date gets closer. It’s real easy to play Country Dance 2, as all you have to do is pick up the Wiimote and match what you see on the tv screen.
