Tim McGraw Finds Out Who His Friends Are
As we found out years ago, Tim McGraw, along with country music pals, Kenny Chesney and Tracy Lawrence, found out who his friends are. Well, Tim has teamed up with those friends to create a compilation disc, entitled “Tim McGraw & Friends,” scheduled for release by Curb Records on January 22, 2013. Colt Ford helped Tim out on the track, “Twisted,” which will be the first single off the special compilation disc. The album will be exclusively available at Walmart and will include 11 individual tracks:
Jo Dee Messina Leaves Curb Records
Country music singer Jo Dee Messina has left her major label home at Curb Records, she announced in a news posting on her official website. Her contract with the label had run out, but she has big plans in store for 2013. Jo Dee, who is currently out on tour and will continue hitting the road next year, is busy writing and working on a brand new album – which she also expects out in 2013.
She shares:
“I am so excited to be able to start fresh. I have so much music to share. Getting it out there to the fans is going to be such a blessing.”

Jo Dee Messina To Run Half Marathon
Country music singer Jo Dee Messina will be undertaking a big challenge on November 11th: she’ll be running a half marathon in support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research, followed by a concert immediately after she crosses the finish line. The whole event will take place at the Rock N’ Roll San Antonio Marathon, and over 50,000 runners are expected to participate in the fifth annual event.
The event is a big deal for the artist, who shares:
“I’m so excited to be participating in this year’s Rock N’ Roll San Antonio. The Rock N’ Roll Marathon Series is always put together well and they make every runner feel special. I begin my training in a week and already have a pretty good base. I’m not really fast, so I hope I make it back in time for the show. I hear they have a great one planned (she added with a wink). I’m definitely more nervous about the run than the show. But, I’m looking forward to both.”
The Curb Records artist has been busy volunteering her time to help those in need lately. She volunteered at a food bank in October for the yearly Make A Difference Event. For 40 years, hundreds of volunteers across the United States have teamed up on the fourth Saturday of October for Make A Difference Day in their local communities. She teamed up with the Tennessean to help pack food bags at Second Harvest.

DVR Alert: Jo Dee Messina On Real Housewives
Country music singer Jo Dee Messina will make a cameo appearance on “the Real Housewives Of Atlanta” tomorrow, March 18th at 8 pm CST. She works with Kandi Burruss on the episode. She previously appeared on the program for a writing session with Kandi.
This time around, Kandi travels to Nashville to visit Jo Dee to record two of the songs they wrote together in the previous episode. Check out the preview of the episode here and let us know what you think of Jo Dee on the Real Housewives.
Jo Dee Messina Expecting Second Baby
Jo Dee Messina and her husband, Chris, have just announced on Twitter that they are expecting a second child. The pair already have a son together, Noah, born in 2009.
@jodeemessina: Our family is very excited. In a few months, Chris, Noah and I will be welcoming BABY #2 :-) !!!

Jo Dee Messina Releases Benefit Track
Jo Dee Messina has released a single to raise funds for a Nashville area schools. The one dollar purchase of “Carry Me” goes towards the fundraising campaign for the Holy Trinity Montessori School. Songwriter Jared Anderson and Messina will donate all royalties that they would have made towards building a 6,000 sq. ft. schoolhouse. The school already has 25 students enrolled and are expecting to have the capacity for 125 students total.
Carrie Underwood & Vince Gill sing for Preds fans!
Only in Nashville would you get two of the biggest country music stars performing in between periods at a NHL playoff hockey game. Carrie was wearing her husband Mike Fisher’s #12 Predators jersey and sang Cowboy Casanova for the Preds fans in a surprise performance. Vince Gill joined her onstage. Jo Dee Messina sang the national anthem before the game, which the Predators lost 6-3.
Mike Fisher helped his team move on past the first round yesterday for the first time in 15 years. They’re still waiting to hear who their second round opponent will be.
