The single is a co-write with Eric and his friends Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndell about how Eric grew up listening to Bruce Springsteen’s songs in the Summer. It’s a throwback to those days, and a tribute to one of the biggest music icons. The single is flying up the Billboard Country Singles Charts, already taking over the number sixteen spot. It’s his fastest-rising single to date so far in his career.

Eric has been a pretty busy guy this year. He’s sold out arenas across the country while out on his 50+ city “Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour.” It’s been a whirlwind since the release of his third album “CHIEF,” which has earned the superstar 2 Academy of Country Music nominations for Album of the Year and Video of the Year, and his first GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. Eric also recently celebrated his latest number one single “Drink In My Hand.”

Kenny Chesney makes his first appearance on “Late Nigh with Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday night (12:35 a.m. on NBC).  His performance is part a week-long celebration of Bruce Springsteen, who releases his new album, “Wrecking Ball,” on March 6th.

Chesney will perform “I’m on Fire,” from Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A album, a song which Chesney previously released as part of the bonus tracks from his 2004 album “When the Sun Goes Down.”

The Boss, along with the E Street Band, will appear on tonight’s show and perform twice.  Then, returning on Friday, March 2, which also marks “Late Night’s” third anniversary, they will appear as the only guest for that episode.  Springsteen will chat with Fallon for an interview segment before taking the “Late Night” stage again for multiple performances with the band.  Springsteen’s “Late Night” appearances are his only currently scheduled American television stops prior to a massive world tour beginning March 18 in Atlanta.

“Meeting Jimmy Fallon yesterday and performing on his show was such an awesome experience,” says Jake. “He is a true musician and music lover. Our dressing room had a piano and several instruments that we were all passing around before the show. Jake is also selling out shows in record time around the country. He has sold-out ten shows to date in 2012. His show at Joe’s Bar in Chicago sold-out in 10 minutes so a second show was added. The second show sold-out the first day it was on sale. Yesterday, his show in Ohio on March 17 sold-out in 18 minutes.

2012 started out a little rough for Jake. He had to reschedule a few shows in January after breaking his collarbone while he was snowboarding during the BMI Songwriters Festival in Crested Butte, CO, but it seems as though things are looking up.

Jake’s current single, “Alone With You,” is Top-10 this week on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and Country Aircheck.

On March 1, Jake will be a guest on Chelsea Lately, hosted by Chelsea Handler, which airs at 11 p.m. ET on E!
