Jerrod Niemann may currently be a special guest on Miranda Lambert‘s On Fire Tour, but his career is also very much on fire these days. His current single “Shinin’ On Me” is the perfect summer anthem, and it’s currently climbing the country radio charts. In conjunction with its rapid ascent up the charts comes the premiere of its video exclusively on AOL’S TheBoot.com on Monday, May 21st. Shortly after it’s premiere, the video will also be added into rotation on GAC, CMT and VEVO and all other streaming partners.
The video, directed by Chris Hicky, mixes raucous partying, an overworked businessman, performances shots and an ending that you’ll just have to tune in to see.
“Shinin’ on Me” is the first single from Jerrod’s upcoming sophomore album, which comes on the heels of his #1 Country Album “Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury.” Niemann promises that this first single is just a taste of that fans can expect on the upcoming album that he is co-producing with Dave Brainard.
On this album, Niemann hopes to flex his creative muscles, creating a unique sound that mixes classic country with a sound that’s distinctly his. “I feel like making an album with horns is definitely a risky step, but my favorite thing about it is that it gives my listeners a taste of something unique,” Niemann says. “I have been watching people react to my music out on the road for years, and because I have the feeling that people are actually listening, it makes me more inspired to become a better musician, producer, songwriter, artist and really give them something different, and a sound that I love.”

We’re getting closer and closer to this year’s CMA Music Festival and GAC has just announced who will be signing at their booth this year! Check out who you can have a chance to meet below.
Thursday, June 7:
Please remember that autograph guidelines have changed for this year’s CMA Fest. Here is a highlight of how the new procedure works:
Fans will now enter a random drawing for the opportunity to meet various artists appearing in the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall. You will be able to enter the drawing at CMAfest.com. between May 14 (starting at 10:00 AM/CT) and May 28 (ending at 5:00 PM/CT). You will enter in your contact information and then select from the list of participating artists singing autographs in the Hall. You may select as many or as few artists as you’d like to meet. Once you submit your entry, you will not be allowed to go back in and change it so choose carefully! Duplicate entries will not be considered and all winners will be notified by Friday, June 1 via email.
CMA will also have a limited number of tickets on-site at the Festival for those who can’t get to a computer to register ahead of time. For more information on this, please see the Fan Fair Hall page at CMAfest.com.
Not every artist participating in the Fan Fair Hall will be part of the autograph drawing. There will be many opportunities for patrons to obtain multiple autographs from artists by just walking around the Fan Fair Hall. So don’t lose hope if you don’t get picked!

RCA Nashville’s superstar Miranda Lambert will be featured in a brand new GAC series this week. “Miranda Lambert: Conversations From The Road” will air on Thursday, April 26th at 10 pm EST on GAC-TV. The special will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at her current headlining “On Fire” tour with host Nan Kelley. Nan and Miranda will also take the camera crew on trip to the wardrobe department to find something to wear for the concert, and Miranda will share a few stories about her tour.
Arista Nashville artist Jerrod Niemann will also make an appearance during the special. He’s opening, along with Chris Young, who also stops by for a quick chat, on the tour. Chris and Jerrod will share a few stories about being on the road with Miranda, and what it’s like being friends with the Texan firecracker.
Miranda’s next stop on her “On Fire” tour is Thursday in Fresno, California.
Jerrod Niemann has been one of the artists I’ve been excited to watch over the last few years. I first met Jerrod when he was opening for Brad Paisley a year ago, and I was impressed with not only his sense of humor and friendliness with his fans, but most importantly, his stage presence and performance. I had the chance to catch up with Jerrod before his Green Bay concert this week to find out about how his brand new single “Shinin’ On Me” was inspired by Texans, what fans can expect from his new sound on his upcoming sophomore album, and what kind of prank he pulled with Chris Young on Miranda Lambert during her “On Fire” tour stop in New Jersey earlier this year.
In our exclusive interview below, he also reveals the release date for the music video for “Shinin’ On Me,” how his first album came together just by luck, and what Chris Young’s secret talent is. Find out all that and more below in Keepin’ it Country’s exclusive interview with Jerrod Niemann:
Sea Gayle Records/Arista Nashville artist Jerrod Niemann released his brand new single “Shinin’ On Me” to digital retailers this week. The debut single from his upcoming sophomore album was also added to the Billboard and Country Aircheck charts this week with 44 radio stations already playing the tune. “Even in Seattle, it’s ‘Shinin’ On Me’ thanks to this ‘perfect for Spring’ song delivering Jerrod’s version of ‘blue-skied soul,’” said Mike Preston PD of KKWF Seattle. Steve Stewart PD of KSD St. Louis says, “Summer came early in St. Louis and so did this summer smash!”
Fans can purchase Jerrod’s new single on iTunes right now. His first major label album “Judge Jerrod And The Hung Jury” debuted at number one, and produced a number one hit single in “Lover, Lover.” His debut album also gave Jerrod a RIAA-certified gold record, and top five single, in the beautiful “What Do You Want.”
Check out the audio of Jerrod’s new single below and let us know about this Summer-themed single. He’ll be releasing a music video for the single this Summer, with cameos from his friends and band!

It was a scary night last night for Jerrod Niemann, whose bus caught on fire after a benefit show in Tennessee. No one was hurt in the fire, but his father, uncle and and friends were all in town for the Heart Strings For Hope benefit for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
“We’re in there and Jon [Stone] comes over and says ‘Your bus is on fire.” Jerrod told WRCB-TV/CHATTANOOGA. “And I’m like ‘Dude, your gun’s shot. Our bus is not on fire.’ I thought it was the heater. So I went to the thermostat and it says ‘Auto Cool.’ So Lee [Brice] gets off the bus and is like “Dude, that’s black smoke. Your bus is on fire.”
“So we get everyone off – my family and everyone and pretty soon we hear this ‘Boom!’ and we think it’s the fuel line, but we look and the whole front windshield was just blown out. Everyone was clear of the bus when the explosion happened and all instruments had been retrieved. This is where I have to say, to anyone that does not believe in GOD: If we were on the road driving we would’ve never smelt it The smell would’ve been going down the road. It would’ve lit up. I would’ve been in the back room. My own father – I don’t care if I die, but my own father and uncle, this one night on the bus, just, no. So we’re so, so thankful.”
Chattanooga firefighters are still trying to determine the cause of the fire. Jerrod continues on Miranda Lambert‘s “ON FIRE” tour next week. Looks like he took the tour name a little too literally.
That’s what Miranda Lambert told the crowd last night in Lexington, Kentucky when she brought the Pistol Annies out on stage with her. The crowd went crazy as Lambert. Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe approached their microphones. After soaking it all in for a moment, the trio launched into their hit song “Hell On Heels.” (See the upper-deck fan video below.)
The Annies clearly enjoyed being back in the spotlight. Ashley Monroe (aka Hippie Annie) posted their thanks on the group’s Facebook page:
Thank you Lexington for such an AMAZING CROWD last night.. wow… you literally blew us away! See ya on down the road! – Hippie Annie
The performance marked the first Pistol Annies concert sighting since December when the trio played a trio of sold-out headlining shows. Their appearance not only gave the crowd some added excitement, it also probably gave Lambert a boost. The show at Rupp Arena was Lambert’s ninth in a span of only 11 days. That long run of her “On Fire Tour” covered more than 4,000 miles.
