VIDEO: Jerrod Niemann Helps Musicians On Call Nashville

Back on July 26th, Jerrod Niemann made a very special visit to the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt to help launch the 11th Weekly Bedside Performance Program for Musicians On Call (MOC) Nashville. Performing his latest single “Shinin’ On Me,” his round of performances coincided with MOC’s ongoing celebration recognizing five years of service to Music City. MOC Nashville brings live music to patients’ bedsides from the top names in country music in healthcare facilities.

“Musicians On Call is an amazing program,” shared Niemann. “You get to meet all of these wonderful children and their families. They are going through such a difficult time and I hope my music can make a difference by brightening their day. It was such an incredible experience to perform - all these children have definitely made a difference in my life.”

Check out the touching video below of highlights from Jerrod’s visit to the hospital and what it meant to the children. Jerrod’s new album “Free The Music” hits stores this October.

Jerrod Niemann’s Sophomore Album to Hit Stores October 2

jerrodniemann3_h

Fans of “Lover, Lover” hit maker Jerrod Niemann can finally rejoice. His sophomore major label album, Free the Music, will finally be hitting stores on October 2. The album has been a work in progress for two years, and features the summer hit “Shinin’ On Me.”

Niemann took his time recording the album and did so in a less-than-traditional manner. He used his live band, rather than studio musicians and also included brass wind horns throughout the record. For Jerrod, the album title is certainly telling. “Free The Music is an album where I wanted to do just that,” says Niemann. “It’s a project honoring many different layers and colors that have appeared in the country genre since recorded music began.”

The album was co-produced by Niemann and Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury producer, Dave Brainard. The album shows off his musical flare, especially on the standout track “Real Women Drink Beer,” which is a unique combo of rockabilly and reggae. He also collaborated with breezy guest vocalist Colbie Caillat on the ballad, “All About You.”

Jerrod Kicked off CMA Festival last Monday, June 4, at his Fan Club Party with Lee Brice to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Nearly 400 fans attended the party, and both Niemann and Brice signed autographs for 10 hours to sign autographs and meet and greet each fan.

Devoted fan Drena Knorr was celebrating her birthday that night and said, “I appreciate the fact that they’re taking time to spend with everyone — that’s one of both artists’ best qualities. It’s been a really long day. All I want to do for my birthday is meet Jerrod and Lee.” She had patiently waiting in line from 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon to 11:30 p.m. that night.

Niemann is currently supporting Miranda Lambert on her “On Fire” tour and will be announcing more tour dates  of his own soon. For more info and concert dates, visit www.jerrodniemannofficial.com.

Jerrod Niemann to Premiere New Music Video “Shinin’ On Me” This Monday

Jerrod-Niemann-CountryMusicIsLove

Jerrod Niemann may currently be a special guest on Miranda Lambert‘s On Fire Tour, but his career is also very much on fire these days. His current single “Shinin’ On Me” is the perfect summer anthem, and it’s currently climbing the country radio charts. In conjunction with its rapid ascent up the charts comes the premiere of its video exclusively on AOL’S TheBoot.com on Monday, May 21st. Shortly after it’s premiere, the video will also be added into rotation on GAC, CMT and VEVO and all other streaming partners.

The video, directed by Chris Hicky, mixes raucous partying, an overworked businessman, performances shots and an ending that you’ll just have to tune in to see.

“Shinin’ on Me” is the first single from Jerrod’s upcoming sophomore album, which comes on the heels of his #1 Country Album “Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury.” Niemann promises that this first single is just a taste of that fans can expect on the upcoming album that he is co-producing with Dave Brainard.

On this album, Niemann hopes to flex his creative muscles, creating a unique sound that mixes classic country with a sound that’s distinctly his. “I feel like making an album with horns is definitely a risky step, but my favorite thing about it is that it gives my listeners a taste of something unique,” Niemann says. “I have been watching people react to my music out on the road for years, and because I have the feeling that people are actually listening, it makes me more inspired to become a better musician, producer, songwriter, artist and really give them something different, and a sound that I love.”
