Make sure you catch some of your favorite country music stars on ABC’s “In The Spotlight With Robin Roberts” this weekend. Lauren Alaina & Scotty McCreery Will Be Part Of CMA Country Christmas
Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery will be part of the line-up for the Country Music Association (CMA)’s “CMA Country Christmas” special. The two-hour special will be hosted by Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, and will be filmed at the Bridgestone Arena on November 10th. Tickets are still available on Ticketmaster and start at only $25. The special will air on ABC on December 1st and features performances by some of country’s top acts, as well as stars sharing their favorite Christmas time memories.
According to the Tennessean, performers include Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Faith Hill, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town, Sugarland, Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler with more guests to be announced as the taping gets closer.
Jennifer Nettles To Host CMA Country Christmas Special Again
Jennifer Nettles will return for the second year in a row as the host of the 2011 CMA Country Christmas special on ABC. The filming of the special is one day after the CMA Awards in Nashville on November 10th, with the special airing on December 1st from 9 to 11 pm EST on ABC.
The two-hour television special will feature performances from not-yet-announced top country artists of the year. The artists will also share special holiday memories and wishes during the airing.
“The recurring themes you find in Country Music are the foundation of what makes the holidays so meaningful – the comfort of home, family, and friends,” said CMA Chief Executive Officer Steve Moore. “‘CMA Country Christmas,’ will be wrapped in those traditions.”
Tickets are currently on sale on Ticketmaster.com and start at $25 each.
Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles Teams with the Shalom Foundation
Over the past four years, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland has supported the Shalom Foundation, a charity that offers schooling, medical supplies and more to people in Guatemala who need it. Little did we all know, we’ve all been supporting them too! Sugarland has donated $1 from every ticket sold over the past 4 years to this great organization and now, Jennifer wants to share a bit more about the people that Shalom helps. The TonyAndKris Twitter account posted some breaking news this morning, and have quickly deleted the Tweet after it was spread around. While there is no official confirmation one way or the other, the rumor is starting to spread like wildfire. Here’s what was posted:

Kris is one of the two morning hosts of the Tony And Kris Show. Their Twitter account had originally re-tweeted his tweet; both of which are now deleted. There’s no news anywhere else on this rumor. Lionel Richie Releasing Country Duet Album
We finally have a release date for Lionel Richie’s long awaited country duets album. Titled “Tuskegee” the record features duets with country music stars on his biggest hits. Artists on the album include Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Tim McGraw, Shania Twain, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, and Jimmy Buffett. From the line-up alone the album should be huge. Fans can get their copy of the album when it’s released on November 8th.
