VIDEO: Kelly Clarkson – Behind-The-Scenes of “Tie It Up”

Kelly Clarkson - Tie It Up

Kelly Clarkson‘s current country single, “Tie It Up,” is seriously great. If you haven’t stopped by iTunes to grab it yet, you should. You won’t be disappointed.

Written by Shane McAnally, Ashley Arrison, and Josh Osborne, the single gives homage to Clarkson’s story with fiancé Brandon Blackstock and their life right now since they will soon be tying the knot!

Check out a behind-the-scenes video of the making of “Tie It Up.” There is one part where Clarkson is wailing like only she can (approximately 0:28-0:48). The song really showcases her amazing, goose-bump worthy range and pure tone. She’s the vocal queen.

McAnally says in the video, “Isn’t that the best thing you ever heard in your life?” Yes, it is… yes, it is!

REVIEW: Arabella Jones “Let’s Roll”

arabella jones let's roll

Arabella Jones is here to play dirty on her new single, “Let’s Roll.” The track features some of country music’s favorite cliches – mud, partying & trucks – yet still manages to sound fresh. Although she takes a page from the current crop of country males, the song excels because it’s NOT just another frat boy anthem. “Boy if you want a little mud on your tires, let’s roll,” sings Jones in her country-pop twang. The song is a playfully coy come-on to the type of guy who is looking to get a little mud on his tires. Pretty boys need not apply here, as Jones invites boys to “shift down and start this party” and join in her “country playpen”

The track, available on iTunes 9/3, sounds equal parts Band Perry, Miranda Lambert & Cassadee Pope. With it’s pulsing guitar, catchy hook and flirty lyrics, we can imagine country girls everywhere adopting the single as their newest anthem. Cruise on out of the way Florida Georgia Line, we’re ready to “Roll” with Arabella.

REVIEW: Adley Stump’s Debut Single “Like This”

If you know anything about NBC The Voice alumnae, Adley Stump, it is that she is the epitome of “a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.” So, what do you get when you add Adley’s fun personality, unique style, and Oklahoma roots? You get Adley’s debut single, “Like This.”

Adley’s eclectic “Like This” has the confidence and attitude of a P!nk hit, the rock ‘n’ roll feel of an Ashlee Simpson (pre-hillbilly dancing on SNL) jam, and a country twist that is incomparable to anyone else on the scene. Oklahoma’s Own Adley Stump Lends Her Vocals to Aid Her Home State

In response to the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma, Oklahoma vocalist, Adley Stump from Season 2 of NBC’s “The Voice” is working with fellow native Oklahomans and Nashville songwriters to bring more attention and support for the recent tornado victims.

Without hesitation, Adley rushed into the studio to record a song that will be released May 24th to iTunes, as well as to many radio and television stations. All proceeds from the song will be donated to the Red Cross to be used to help the Oklahoma tornado victims.

“I immediately tried to figure out how I could help,” Adley says. “I think in this situation everyone just tries to figure out what they have that they can give. What I have is music, and here in Nashville there is nothing we know more than the power of a song. So when a friend from home e-mailed the song asking if I’d sing it, I knew immediately that’s how I could help. The song was perfect; I knew immediately I wanted to get in the studio with it. I hope it brings true comfort and healing for the hearts of those affected.”

Adley also intends to pull together a benefit concert in Oklahoma with other fellow Oklahoman musicians with the proceeds dedicated to the relief effort in Oklahoma. Information on this relief concert is being developed and further details will be released in the near future.

As soon as Adley agreed to sing, the Bennett family of First Oklahoma Bank provided the funds to make the project possible. The song is called “Weather the Storm” and was written by hit songwriters Bernie Nelson, Will Champlin and Adriene Smith Garrison and produced by hit songwriter/producers Philip Douglas and Greg Bieck.

Make sure to keep an eye on iTunes tomorrow so you can download Adley’s new song while helping those in need as a result of the horrific tornadoes that swept through Oklahoma. And stay tuned to Keepin’ It Country (and our social media pages) for further information on the benefit concert being planned by our friend, Adley, in support of her home state.

“Downtown” serves as the lead single for the trio’s upcoming fourth album, and is now available for download on iTunes.

Lady A’s Hillary Scott had this to share about the new song:

“There’s some sass to this track that makes it really fun to sing…it’s definitely a roll down the windows and bob your head kind of thing. We thought it was a fun way to launch the next record and a fitting preview of what’s to come!”
