On Monday night, August 20th, Jake Owen was scheduled to perform on Nashville’s Music Row. But, the night before, Jake began experiencing some incidental effects from his go-kart accident, which occurred in July of this year. When Jake noticed his finger, which was shattered in the accident, was bleeding, he decided to visit his doctor to have it checked out. When he was seen by his doctor early in the day on Monday, he was informed that he had to have part of the finger amputated, as he was suffering from an infection.
Despite Jake’s request to wait until the following day so he could perform his Monday night show, the doctor insisted that the amputation needed to be performed immediately.
