Gloriana Goes Gold!

Congratulations to country music trio Gloriana who are celebrating their brand new RIAA gold certified single “(Kissed You) Goodnight” for selling more than 500,000 digital copies since its release. The single is from the band’s much anticipated sophomore album “A Thousand Miles Left Behind” which is due out for release on Warner Brothers Nashville on July 31st. Their now-gold single is currently sitting at number seven on the Billboard Country Singles Charts and number six on Mediabase. It’s the fastest rising single of the group’s career, and their first top 10 hit.

In other Gloriana news, the group is celebrating the release of their upcoming album with an online series with CMT.com, which launched last week. The trio will share a new video every Tuesday leading up to the July 31st release, highlighting the songs and stories behind the album.

Gloriana’s “(Kissed You) Good Night” Climbs Up the Charts

Country music trio, Gloriana, celebrates another career milestone as their latest single, “(Kissed You) Good Night,” clinches the number nine spot on the Billboard Country Singles Chart. This marks their first single to land in the top ten and is the fastest rising single of their career.

“(Kissed You) Good Night” is from the band’s much-anticipated second studio album ”A Thousand Miles Left Behind” on Emblem Music Group/Warner Bros. Records. Their sophomore project is set for release July 31, 2012.

Gloriana is currently out on the road performing headlining dates across the country, and also will perform on a few select dates opening for Alan Jackson.

This has been a song stuck in my head since Warner Music played it for us at the CRS Luncheon with Faith Hill back in February. It’s one of those music videos that actually follows the story of the song, and it flows pretty nicely. It’s a pretty song with the perfect video production, and for that it’s our video pick of the week for music video. Check out “(Kissed You) Goodnight” and let us know what you think:

Gloriana Releasing Their Sophomore Album July 31

Country music trio, Gloriana, will be releasing their second album on July 31, 2012. The group’s sophomore album, entitled “A Thousand Miles Left Behind,” contains eleven tracks – all of which were co-written by the Gloriana members. Also a prevalent writer on the album is Matt Serletic, a GRAMMY Award winning producer and owner of Emblem Music Group. Co-writing credits are also given to Josh Kear, Hillary Lindsey, James Slater, Danny Myrick, Stephanie Bentley, and more.

With their current single at #15 on the Billboard Country Singles chart, Gloriana is eager to release their next project, which will be “honest and come from a place that’s real.” The trio explains that the new album feels like them and exemplifies where the group is now and where they want to be in the future. “A Thousand Miles Left Behind” will consist of a mix of up-tempo songs and heartfelt tunes.

Gloriana To Be Featured on The Bachelorette’s May 21st Episode

Fans of country trio Gloriana are in for a treat next Monday, as the band will be featured on an upcoming episode of ABC’s hit romance series “The Bachelorette.” The band will be appearing during the May 21st episode while single mom, Emily Maynard, takes a lucky suitor on her first 1-on-1 date of the season.

While Gloriana is thrilled that their current single “(Kissed You) Good Night” is currently racing up the Billboard Country Singles chart (it currently sits at #17), group member Rachel Reinert is equally as thrilled to be appearing on the reality show.  “I’m a huge fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette,” she said. “I watched Emily when she was a contestant on The Bachelor and I was an instant fan of hers, so hearing that she is a fan of our band was a wonderful surprise! I’m excited to watch the new season, and I’m even more excited that we got to be a part of it.”

For those keen eyed “Bachelorette” viewers who watched the season premier and previews, it doesn’t look like Gloriana will be the only country artists serenading the bachelorette this season. Upcoming episodes will also feature performances by Luke Bryan & Dolly Parton. Gloriana’s episode will air Monday, May 21st at 8pm EST (check local listings) on ABC.

Gloriana’s Tom Gossin Engaged

Wedding bells may not be featured on the upcoming album by Gloriana, but one band member definitely will be hearing them!

Tom Gossin (the dark-haired Gossin brother) announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Jamie Moffett during a show in his hometown in upstate New York last week.  The couple, who met when Tom moved down to North Carolina as a teenager, celebrated their 10-year anniversary on March 1st with a surprise proposal by Tom.

“The timing could not have been more perfect – we were with close friends on our anniversary. I dropped to one knee with the ring and asked the love of my life to marry me,” said Tom. “She was caught totally by surprise but said yes. We could not be any happier right now and want to thank everyone for their loving words and support during this amazing time in our lives.”

Steel Magnolia To Perform At ACM Experience

Contrary to popular online rumors, Steel Magnolia will be making an appearance together at the first-ever ACM Experience in Las Vegas. The country music duo will perform at the free, 3-day open-to-the-public event during The Week Vegas Goes Country. They hit the stage on Saturday, March 31st at 1:30 pm after Mallory Hope.

Also joining the line-up are country music trio Gloriana, who will perform on March 31st at 5:30 pm, closing the night.

Gloriana Sharing The Love With A Valentine’s Day Contest

It’s not one of our contests, but we like to share the love.  In this case, we’re sharing the love with (and from) our friends in Gloriana.

With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, Tom, Mike and Rachel are playing the role of Cupid.  Actually, it’s more like Cupid mixed with Santa Claus, because along with loving, it appears they’re in a giving mood, too.  What they’re doing is giving fans a chance to win a $100 gift card, plus two tickets and meet and greet passes to the Gloriana show of their choice.

Their current single, (Kissed You) Good Night, is at number #32 in the latest Mediabase chart and climbing.  In the video for that song, the guy does end up kissing the girl.  But for many of us, that moment passes without us taking action.  What Gloriana is looking for is your “should have” moment.  They’re asking for fans to submit videos that are no longer than 15 seconds.  The good news is, you don’t have to say a single word — everything you have to say will you write on posters.

Luke Bryan & Blake Shelton Top Club Singles Of 2011

Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton have some of the top country music dance singles of 2011, according to a survey done by Marco Club Connection. The radio promotion company surveyed over 250 club owners and DJs in dance clubs across the United States to put together their top 10 dance singles of 2011. Some of the songs that made the list might surprise you. See the full list below, where Blake was the only artist to make it twice with two different singles.

The 2011 Marco Club Connection Top Ten Country Dance Hits are:

1. Luke Bryan – “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)”
2. Blake Shelton – “Footloose”
3. Big & Rich – “Fake ID”
4. Blake Shelton – “Honey Bee”
5. Gloriana – “Wanna Take You Home”
6. Billy Currington – “Love Done Gone”

“We are thrilled that ‘Country Girl (Shake It For Me)’ was selected as the No. 1 dance song of the year,” says Capitol/EMI Records Director of Media and Public Relations, Taryn Pray.  “This single took Luke Bryan to the next level, and it’s great to have the recognition of the dance club community.”
On the success of Warner Music Nashville’s artists on the list, senior vice president of Brand Management & Sales Peter Strickland had this to say:

This Friday the 13th will be special instead of scary for the members of Gloriana.  That night the band debuts their music video for (Kissed You) Good Night.

The exclusive world premiere takes place during a broadcast of A Walk To Remember on ABC Family.  The movie starts at 8:30pm ET/PT.  When is the exact time for the video?  You’ll just have to watch – or record it!  (We call it a DVR Alert for a reason!)
