It’s been a big year for the duo, made up of Brian Kelley from Florida, and Tyler Hubbard from Georgia, whose single “Cruise” dominated the charts on its release, and toured with Jake Owen on CMT On Tour. The group released their brand new album “Here’s To You” last week.

Jake Owen is going down in the books: his first headlining tour, CMT On Tour Jake Owen: The Summer Never Ends 2012, has become the CMT tour with the most consecutive sold-out shows for the annual tour in its eleven-year existence.

CMT On Tour has been the referred to as the “proving ground” for young country acts in the past, such as Keith Urban, Sugarland, Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, and Brad Paisley.

Jake’s current hit, “The One That Got Away,” has reached the Top 10 on country radio charts and continues to climb upward. For more information on the tour that’s selling out fast, go to www.cmtontour.cmt.com.

All summer long, the guys of Florida Georgia Line have been cruising up the charts with their infectious first single, “Cruise,” which was recently certified GOLD and has drawn Twitter buzz from the likes of Taylor Swift, Keith Urban & Jennifer Nettles. On the heels of that hit, the duo will be releasing their debut album, Here’s To The Good Times, on December 4th.

“Releasing our debut album is a dream come true! We can’t wait to share our lives through music with our amazing fans,” said FGL’s Brian Kelley. His band mate, Tyler Hubbard  added, “There truly is something for everyone on this album and we could not be more proud of it!”

Republic Nashville’s new hot duo Florida-Georgia Line played to over 10,000 rowdy country fans during Florida State University’s annual “Friday Night Block Party” in downtown Tallahassee at Kleman Plaza. The show was a bit of a homecoming for the group’s Brian Kelley, who is a Florida native and attended FSU before transferring to Belmont to pursue his music career (where he there met his band mate Tyler Hubbard).

Brian smiled as he shared:

“This definitely goes down as the best FSU block party I ever attended!”

Their high energy performance was talked about by the local media and radio as the perfect way to kick off the “official tailgate event”. WTNT PM Drive Host & Music Director Woody Hayes was raving about the duo’s show, saying:

“It was incredible way for 94-9 TNT to kick off the opening weekend of the season! FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE absolutely WOWed the crowd and they were non-stop on stage, bringing a tremendous energy to the event! Just because they’re a new act, don’t let that fool you, the crowd was singing to every song! 94-9 TNT was proud to have them play an acoustic lunch for the staff as well earlier in the day as well. Look out, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE is for real!”

Monroe, Georgia’s Tyler Hubbard and Ormond Beach, Florida’s Brian Kelley have been engaging their growing fanbase at headlining shows as well as previous opening dates for Brantley Gilbert and the Country Throwdown Tour. FGL has already sold out two shows in Illinois – The Copper Dragon in Carbondale on September 14 and Joe’s Bar in Chicago on September 28 (a rarity for the popular venue). With these touring milestones, it’s no surprise that they’ve also earned a coveted spot on the “CMT On Tour” with headliner Jake Owen, which will kick off in New York on October 10.

Florida Georgia Line Lace Up Their Boots in Support of the Troops

Country newcomers Florida Georgia Line are proud to join forces with the Boot Campaign in support of the troops. The duo, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, have pledged their commitment to the cause by putting on their own combat boots to literally “take a walk in a soldier’s shoes.”

For the band, this is a cause that hits close to home. “Anything that we can do to help our soldiers past, present and future and their families, we are thankful to be a part of. This cause really hits close to home; my uncle and cousin both served overseas and my grandfather was awarded two purple hearts during his active duty. We are proud to be a part of The Boot Campaign and thrilled to have them on the road with us for the Country Throwdown Tour. We hope to see all the country fans at the show put their boots on and join us in supporting our veterans as they return home,” says Kelley.

Florida Georgia Line is in good company, as other celebrity supporters of the Boot Campaign include Dolly Parton, The Rock, FX’s Cast of Sons Of Anarchy, Troy Aikman, Brantley Gilbert, Eli Young Band, George Jones and Gary Allan. Supporters of the cause purchase boots, with all proceeds going to military charities, to put on in order to “symbolically walk in the shoes of our military men and women to remember their service and sacrifice.”

Florida Georgia Line is currently speeding up the charts with their debut single “Cruise,” from their new EP It’z Just What We Do. For more information on Florida Georgia Line and tour dates, visit www.FloridaGeorgiaLine.com.
