If you’re a Hank Williams, Jr. fan who hasn’t liked him on Facebook yet, what are you waiting for? The country crooner just passed a million “likes” on the social networking site and is ready to celebrate in true country fashion. As a thank you to his loyal (and social fans), Williams is offering a free download of his new single “That Ain’t Good.” The song is available now through midnight on Memorial Day at www.hankjr.com.

Williams realizes the importance of his loyal fan base. “I have the most loyal fans and that’s what make my job so easy,” Williams said.  “I only do 20-25 shows a year and my fans love the music.  The best way to celebrate with them is to offer a free download of my new single this holiday weekend.”

“That Ain’t Good” is the first single from “Old School, New Rules,” a twelve-song package that’s available for pre-sale now at www.hankjr.com. The collection of tunes is set for a July 10th release and includes a duet with Brad Paisley on “I’m Gonna Get Drunk And Play Hank Williams” and a new duet with the legendary Merle Haggard on his classic “I Think I’ll Just Sit Here and Drink.”

Taylor Swift Has A Very Special ACM Awards’ Date

Taylor & Kevin

We have always known that Taylor Swift is one of the sweetest girls in the music business, but then you hear a story like this and it just makes you love her even more.

Kevin McGuire is an 18-year-old high school senior fighting his second battle with Leukemia. He is currently receiving treatment at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Kevin wanted one thing for his senior prom… for Taylor Swift to be his date. In an effort to make that happen, Kevin’s sister, Victoria, created a Facebook page to get the word out to Taylor. Thousands upon thousands of people joined the campaign. As it turns out, it was a success.

Taylor did receive the message and responded to Kevin last week via her official Facebook page. But she one-upped the invitation:

Kevin, I’m so sorry but I won’t be able to make it to your prom. But I was wondering, the ACM Awards are coming up.. Would you be my date?

Love, Taylor

Needless to say, Kevin accepted the invite.

Victoria was the one who started it all to make this dream come true for her brother. She had this to share on the campaign’s page:

Taylor got back to us!!!! She is unable to attend Kevin’s prom, although did one better- Invited Kevin to be her date to the Academy of Country Music Awards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so so so so so much! The McGuire family could never show how grateful we are to all of you! We have won in more than one way.. we got Taylor to take Kevin on a date, and we have made so many good friends along the way!

This is when the power of social media is truly priceless. We are so happy that Kevin gets to have a night of fun away from his daily battle. We wish the best to Kevin and his family, health and continued strength, and we hope that Kevin has the most amazing time with Taylor at the ACM Awards!

The ACM Awards are set for April 1st in Las Vegas.
