Country trio The Band Perry and pop/rock group Fall Out Boy will team up for the next installment of CMT Crossroads. The groups will swap stories and vocals on one another’s songs in front of an invitation-only audience in Nashville on October 2nd. The show will air on CMT on a date to be determined.
CMT Crossroads is probably one of the best music concepts in decades. Pairing our favorite country artists with artists from other genres, the show always brings stellar collaborations.
This Friday (Sept. 13th), Crossroads will present Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks! The episode airs at 10 pm ET on CMT. Performances will feature hits from both song catalogues including Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen,” “Landslide,” and “Rhiannon,” in addition to Lady A’s “Need You Now,” “Love Don’t Live Here,” and “Golden.” Set your DVR’s!
CMT recorded the performance last spring in Los Angeles before the trio’s Hillary Scott gave birth to her first child this summer. Lady A is currently on hiatus, but will return in November with a bang with their Take Me Downtown Tour!

Hey country music friends…
It’s time for our “Video Picks of the Week!”
This week’s music video is Lee Ann Womack, “I Hope You Dance.” The song was the lead single from her 2000 album of the same title, and a number one, cross-over mega hit.
One word comes to mind for me with this song… masterpiece. It is one of my favorite songs of all-time and definitely makes my top five. The lyrics and message are amazing, Womack’s voice is beautiful as always, and the video is very sweet.
“I Hope You Dance” is just one of those times in music when everything aligns together and is perfect.

Carrie Underwood and Steven Tyler take to the stage tomorrow night for CMT’s Crossroads. It would seem the two singers are having a good time as they get ready for their Super Bowl Weekend special from Indianapolis. The show airs live this Satruday night at 11pm Eastern on CMT. In case you weren’t aware of it, the pair (along with Steven’s imaginary friend) have a little reminder for us all:
In other Carrie news, the superstar announced yesterday that her new album will be released on May 1st. The first single from the album, “Good Girl,” hits radio on Februrary 23rd.
CMT along with Big Machine and Republic Nashville have released the Crossroads performance between Martina McBride and Train to DVD. The live DVD will have seven full performances of the pair from the television special, as well as extended interviews and two never-before-seen performances between the rock group and country superstar.
The show, taped in a Nashville studio last year, will go on sale today. It debuted on CMT last November.
