Country music newcomer, Lucy Hale, recently revealed plans to release her country debut album in late spring. Lucy’s debut record, Road Between, will release June 3rd on DMG Nashville/Bigger Picture Group.
“This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl singing Faith Hill and Shania Twain songs into my hairbrush in the mirror,” reveals Lucy. “It was both exciting and scary for me to be so vulnerable making this album, and it’s turned out to be something genuinely me and something I’m really proud to share.”
The exciting news doesn’t stop here for Lucy! She has been invited to make her debut on the Grand Ole Opry this Friday, February 21, 2014!
Congratulations to Lucy! Let us know what you are looking forward to most as Lucy’s bright country music career progresses!
We have said it before, and we will say it again – Caroline Kole is a soul much older and wiser than her age. You needn’t have a conversation with Caroline to substantiate that statement. You can simply listen to her music, focus on her beautiful vocals, and let the lyrics take you someplace else in order to understand that Caroline is an artist who is years ahead of her time. This EP contains six original tracks, each of which is distinct in sound and story, and allows Caroline to explore different characters, capturing each one seamlessly and effectively.
After several days of fan bases battling out, the winners have been declared. Your favorite female country music veteran is Shania Twain, and your favorite male country music veteran is Garth Brooks. Just behind Shania were the queen of country music herself, Reba McEntire, and the beautiful songstress, Martina McBride. Riding in Garth’s coattails were the king of country music, George Strait, and country crooner, Vince Gill.
Now that you all have narrowed your choices to one female and one male favorite, it’s time for the artists to go head-to-head for Keepin’ It Country‘s ultimate favorite veteran! Shania and Garth, let the odds be ever in your favor. Let the games begin!
We have polled our readers and followers about their favorite new and current hit-making artists. However, there is a whole class of artists who were (intentionally) left off these lists. Those artists are the ones who helped shape country music into the force it is today. Without these individuals who paved the way for the new artists you all know and love, country music may still be struggling to find its way on to the proverbial music map. Those artists are your beloved country music veterans (defined as those who were prominent in country music prior to the 21st Century)!
Let’s duke it out, country music lovers! Vote for your favorite female and male country music veterans and the winners will jump in the ring and go head-to-head to determine Keepin’ It Country‘s all time favorite veteran! Keep it classy, country folks. We all have different tastes and none of us is wrong for our choices. A good, friendly battle is healthy for the soul, but a Hatfield and McCoy situation is better left in the Old West!
