Colt Ford Becomes First Country Artist With Own Vodka

Colt Ford has teamed up with Georgia Distilling Company to produce his own signature line of alcohol “Goodtime.” The liquor line features “Goodtime Vodka,” which is 80 proof, and “Goodtime Moonshine,” which is 90 proof. They both hit stores starting today in Georgia and Tennessee, with expansion planned immediately.

I wonder if he’ll declare a national moonshine day, like Toby Keith did for National Mezcal Day this Friday.

“I wanted to have real moonshine made by real moonshiners and that is what I got,” said Ford. “This took over a year to get the government to approve, and it is really special. I could not be more proud to be involved with the Georgia Distilling Company and United Distributors. We have some great moonshine and vodka that I will put up against any on the market. This is gonna be a fun ride, and I am gonna do everything I can to make the world have a GOODTIME!”

The Georgia-based companies Georgia Distilling Company and United Distributors are Georgia’s biggest alcohol distributors. The idea to introduce his own liquor brand was originally thought up a year ago, and now Colt’s dream has become a reality.

CMT Festival Was The Place To Party This Weekend

Rascal Flatts.

Oro Station, Ontario, Canada was the place to be this weekend for any country music fan. The first annual CMT Music Festival went off without a hitch, with thousands upon thousands of hardcore rednecks and country fans jam-packed into the fields to hear the best of what country music had to offer. The three-day festival featured superstar acts like Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Sara Evans, Colt Ford, and even Ronnie Dunn. With early estimates of nearly 10,000 fans a night at Burl’s Creek Family Park; there’s no way this festival doesn’t return again next year.

The music festival kicked off with a performance by Hank, who unfortunately were forced to play before gates were open to the public. The die hard hillbillies packed at the entrances to try to race for their spots did hear them, and the second the gates were open there was a rush of people running to get their spots by the main stage.

Colt Ford Joins Jason Aldean & Brantley Gilbert For Dirt Road Anthem

Colt Ford surprised his loyal fans on August 16th by bringing out Jason Aldean and Brantley Gilbert for a very special version of “Dirt Road Anthem.” His friends were on-hand for Colt’s charity concert “Colt Ford And Friends.” The benefit show was dedicated to raising money for two police officers in Colt’s hometown who were shot in the line of duty. Tragically, one officer was seriously wounded and the other sadly passed away from his injuries.

Colt Ford and Brantley Gilbert co-wrote the original version of the hot single which Jason Aldean covered on “My Kinda Party.” Fans were treated to a teaser of the special version, and after hoping and begging for the trio version, they finally got their wish at the benefit show. See the video below.
