Colt Ford Is One Of Country Weekly’s Sexiest Men

Colt Ford

The power of the fans is proven once again!

Average Joe’s Entertainment’s, Colt Ford, was voted ninth on Country Weekly’s “Sexiest Men in Country Music” list. Ford was not originally on the ballot. However, a campaign video and a lot of fan dedication gained him the spot. As a show of his appreciation, Ford is giving his fans a chance to win an autographed copy of the “Country’s Sexiest Men” issue. You can enter to win here. Three winners will be chosen and notified via e-mail on December 12th.

Last week, Ford received some more great news when Jason Aldean was nominated for a Grammy for “Best Country Solo Performance” for “Dirt Road Anthem.” Ford co-wrote the number one hit song with Brantley Gilbert, and also was the first artist to record the song on his album, “Ride Through The Country,” in 2008.

Congratulations to Colt and his fans!

When Jason Aldean recorded his take of Colt Ford‘s “Dirt Road Anthem,” neither of them ever thought they’d see the success that the single, originally written by Colt with Brantley Gilbert, has found. On hearing that the single might now become a Grammy winning single, Colt couldn’t hold back his excitement.

“I’m blown away by the impact of ‘Dirt Road Anthem.’  This song has been so special for Brantley, Jason, and me. Who would have thought that this song would make the whole world wanna ride down a dirt road?  It took an artist with no fear, like Jason, to take a chance on this song.”

Jason’s version of “Dirt Road Anthem” became a number one Billboard and Mediabase hit, and became a top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single had also earned Colt his first CMA nomination for Song Of The Year.

When you think “sexy” you probably aren’t thinking of Colt Ford. Well, he wants to change that thinking and he’s asking his fans to help him. Country Weekly posted a poll asking fans to vote on who they think is the sexiest man in country music, and Colt wasn’t included on the list. That’s not stopping him from asking his fans to petition their votes as a write-in ballot on the page. He even made a video asking for votes! Check out the video below. The candle is a nice touch:

Colt Ford Becomes First Country Artist With Own Vodka

Colt Ford has teamed up with Georgia Distilling Company to produce his own signature line of alcohol “Goodtime.” The liquor line features “Goodtime Vodka,” which is 80 proof, and “Goodtime Moonshine,” which is 90 proof. They both hit stores starting today in Georgia and Tennessee, with expansion planned immediately.

I wonder if he’ll declare a national moonshine day, like Toby Keith did for National Mezcal Day this Friday.

“I wanted to have real moonshine made by real moonshiners and that is what I got,” said Ford. “This took over a year to get the government to approve, and it is really special. I could not be more proud to be involved with the Georgia Distilling Company and United Distributors. We have some great moonshine and vodka that I will put up against any on the market. This is gonna be a fun ride, and I am gonna do everything I can to make the world have a GOODTIME!”

The Georgia-based companies Georgia Distilling Company and United Distributors are Georgia’s biggest alcohol distributors. The idea to introduce his own liquor brand was originally thought up a year ago, and now Colt’s dream has become a reality.

CMT Festival Was The Place To Party This Weekend

Rascal Flatts.

Oro Station, Ontario, Canada was the place to be this weekend for any country music fan. The first annual CMT Music Festival went off without a hitch, with thousands upon thousands of hardcore rednecks and country fans jam-packed into the fields to hear the best of what country music had to offer. The three-day festival featured superstar acts like Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Sara Evans, Colt Ford, and even Ronnie Dunn. With early estimates of nearly 10,000 fans a night at Burl’s Creek Family Park; there’s no way this festival doesn’t return again next year.

The music festival kicked off with a performance by Hank, who unfortunately were forced to play before gates were open to the public. The die hard hillbillies packed at the entrances to try to race for their spots did hear them, and the second the gates were open there was a rush of people running to get their spots by the main stage.
