Darius Rucker & Friends Line-Up Announced

The third annual Darius Rucker and Friends line-up has been announced, and Monday should be a great time! The event, which raises money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Nashville, includes a celebrity golf tournament and concert at the Wildhorse Saloon. Special guests expected to appear include Sunny Sweeney, Clint Black, Rodney Atkins, Chuck Wicks and a few more surprises. Doors open at 6 pm and the concert kicks off at 7:30 pm in downtown Nashville. Event posters and t-shirt sales from the night will directly benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital

“We’ve had so much fun the last two years with friends jamming on stage for a great cause,” says Rucker. “I’m excited to continue that tradition with this year’s event.”

The Hootie & The Blowfish frontman is working on his third solo country album with producer Frank Rogers. The record will serve as the follow-up to 2010′s “Charleston, SC 1966″ and his now-platinum “Learn To Live” from 2008.

A limited number of tickets still remain for Monday night’s concert, and fans can purchase tickets at the Wildhorse Saloon or by calling them directly at 615-902-8200.

Clint Black to Perform on ABC’s Good Morning America on Memorial Day

Country music legend Clint Black is set to perform on ABC’s Good Morning America this Memorial Day, May 28, at 7:00 a.m. EST. Black will perform “She Won’t Let Go,” an original song written for the Vanilla Fire production Until They Are Home. Until They Are Home is a documentary chronicling the search for the remains of missing Marines. The film was directed by Steven C. Barber and narrated by Kelsey Grammer.

Danielle Peck and Friends Online Charity Auction (Ends 12/22)

In this season of giving, Danielle Peck and some of her fellow country music stars are doing their part to help the homeless. Last month, Peck held her 4th Annual “Danielle Peck and Friends Concert” which supports the Nashville-based Safe Haven Family Shelter. She’s now following it up with an online auction featuring an awesome assortment of autographs, guitars and other collectables.

We’re making this posting with a little bit more than a day to go before the auction ends (8pm Central Time on 12/22). That still leaves you with plenty of time to get your bids in. For example, at the time of this writing, there is a Kenny Chesney package featuring items from his 2009 Sun City Carnival tour (including two t-shirts and an autographed picture) that had a high bid of only $9! Now that would make a fine (and cheap) Christmas gift!

Again, this online auction is to support homeless families as they receive the necessary tools to return into a home of their own with stable employment and secured housing. Safe Haven Family Shelter is the only shelter-to-housing program of its kind in Middle Tennessee that accepts the entire homeless family.
