First Ever iHeartRadio Country Festival

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announced today the first-ever iHeartRadio Country Festival. Country music’s biggest superstars will hit the stage at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas on Saturday, March 29, to celebrate all things country.

Straight from the heart of Austin, the music of the iHeartRadio app will come to life with an extraordinary lineup including: Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood, Jake Owen and Dan + Shay, with more to be announced. The iHeartRadio Country Festival will be hosted by nationally-syndicated country music personality Bobby Bones.

Taylor Swift Fans Are Seeing “Red”

Today marks the release of Taylor Swift‘s fourth album, “Red.” To celebrate this event, Clear Channel Radio will be airing an album release party, hosted by Ryan Seacrest (check your local listings for what time this event will air). The radio special will include songs and clips from Taylor’s new album, as well as an exclusive interview. Taylor will also share personal stories and her influences behind the tracks which make up the highly-anticipated “Red.”

Clear Channel is also instituting an “Artist Integration Program,” which will allow Taylor’s fans to access exclusive extended versions of interviews online, complete with video content and instant access to download a copy of “Red.” As if Clear Channel isn’t already bringing enough Taylor excitement to her fans, now through November 9th, fans can enter for their chance to win a “24-Hour Dream Life” contest. One lucky fan will be selected to bring three of his or her friends on a private jet for a behind the scenes tour of Taylor’s new show, front row seats at two tour stops, and backstage meet and greet passes with Taylor. The winner will also receive a signed guitar. Tune into any Clear Channel radio station every hour, every day for the keyword to text so you can be entered into the contest.

Big Machine and Clear Channel Announce Groundbreaking Agreement

The Big Machine Label Group is home to such artists as Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Eden’s Edge on Big Machine Records, as well as Reba McEntire, Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert, The Mavericks and Thomas Rhett on Valory Music Co. The group announced today that they are partnering with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment to align their business interests and accelerate growth and innovation in digital radio to the benefit of music fans and radio listeners everywhere.

Through this agreement, Big Machine (and its artists) will become the first record company to directly participate in Clear Channel’s terrestrial broadcast radio revenues.  For Big Machine Label President and CEO Scott Borchetta, it was a no brainer. Borchetta said, “In Clear Channel, I found partners who shared my big-picture view of how we could structure an agreement to benefit all involved. Not only does this partnership enable Big Machine to participate in terrestrial broadcast revenues, but we are also helping to grow digital radio – a great opportunity for all of us and a breakthrough opportunity for Big Machine artists.”

Clear Channel Radio Changes Name

Clear Channel Radio announced this morning that they’ve re-branded themselves as Clear Channel Media And Entertainment. The leading radio company in the United States, having greater reach than any other radio or television brand, decided on the name change to better reflect their evolving business. The core of Clear Channel will remain with over 850 radio stations, but with the new name, will expand into further areas.

Clear Channel Media and Entertainment delivers music, talk, news, and sports to audiences in multiple markets across the United States. The internet station iHeartradio is also part of the company and will remain intact with the re-branding.

Clear Channel Media And Entertainment produced the largest live concert event in radio history in 2011: the iHeartradio music festival. The promotion for the festival reached over 100 million people using Clear Channel’s platform.

Clear Channel To Boost Small Businesses

Clear Channel Radio announced today plans to support small businesses across the United States. They’ve joined the Small Business Saturdays initiative, which will include public interest campaigns, social media promotion, on-air promotion by popular radio hosts and much more to help support the small and family-owned businesses.  850 radio stations across America with 237 million monthly listeners will be part of the project. Clear Channel is the nation’s largest media company with more reach than any radio or television network.

“Clear Channel is participating in Small Business Saturday because local merchants are the lifeblood of the communities in which we live and work, and are integral to the health of our economy,” said John Hogan, CEO, Clear Channel Radio.  “Our radio stations are deeply rooted in hundreds of distinct communities across the country.  We are harnessing the power of our national voice, our relationships between on-air talent and loyal listeners and local community leaders, as well as our unique programming initiatives, to drive consumers to shop at their local small businesses this November 26th.”

The initiative aims to encourage shoppers to buy from small businesses on Saturdays to help support local communities across the country. Clear Channel’s chapter of the program will begin on October 24th through to November 26th.
