Elektra Nashville’s Jana Kramer, Sony Music Nashville’s Tyler Farr, and Warner Music Nashville’s Charlie Worsham will be teaming up for a very special cause this October. The three artists will be playing a special benefit show for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) at the Tin Roof 2 on October 3rd. The Tin Roof 2 is located just outside Nashville, Tennessee. The show kicks off at 7 pm CST with tickets available for only $20 each at the door. The evening will be hosted by GAC personality Suzanne Alexander.

Not only will there be live music, but fans will also be able to purchase food, drinks and items from a silent auction. All money raised on the evening will go to LLS for cancer research, and for Team In Training (TNT), the running program that supports LLS with its efforts. Since 1989, LLS has raised over $1 billion for the fight against blood cancer. It’s also helped to fund the development and research of 37 different crucial anti-cancer medications and drugs.

Charlie Worsham Signs With Warner Music Nashville

Country music writer Charlie Worsham, who has long been guided by ole as a writer and artist, has just signed a long-term recording contract with Warner Music Nashville. Charlie, whose original masters were financed by ole for a previous EP, will be in the studio working on his Warner debut album in May. His debut album is being produced by Charlie along with fellow ole writer Ryan Tyndell with Arthur Buenahora, ole General Manager, Creative from ole’s Nashville office, who will be steering the project as executive producer.

Arthur is amazed at how far ahead they are at developing Charlie as a country music artist:

“I am very pleased with all the tremendous growth that Charlie has shown since joining the roster. It is very impressive to hit the ground running like he has and to get the cuts that he has gotten, not to mention the beginning of a recording career.”

The signing was made official at the Warner Music Nashville building this week with a party at the Music Row offices. The party was attended by Warner staff and ole songwriters, staff, friends, Charlie’s manager Scott Kernahan (Rogue Music), BMI executives, and Charlie’s family.

Charlie’s work at ole directly coincides with Arthur Buenahora’s arrival at the company in 2010. Arthur has had his hand in the past developing some of the biggest stars in country music today, including Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, and Taylor Swift. Taylor’s “Fearless” album contained several ole cuts.

Charlie has quite the musical backgr0und, including performing at the Ryman Auditorium when he was just 10 years old alongside Bluegrass legend Jimmy Martin. Two years later, he played the Grand Ole Opry with Opry member Mike Snider. That appearance led to a short profile on The Nashville Network (TNN). He was the recipient of the Billboard Endowed Scholarship at Berklee College of Music in 2006. That scholarship is presented once a year to the most promising student of the school. He moved to Nashville later that year to pursue a country music career.
