Thirteen-year-old musician, Maggie Baugh, was recently brought on stage by the legendary Charlie Daniels during a show in South Florida. Maggie, a fiddle playing extraordinaire, not only assisted Daniels during the iconic song “Devil Went Down to Georgia,” but also kicked the event off with the National Anthem.
We were so impressed with Maggie (and fell in love with her stage presence and personality) that we had to share it here with all of you! Check out the videos below from the South Florida event:
‘S wonderful! ‘S marvelous! That’s what rang through my head as I watched The Swon Brothers tear up the South Florida Fair stage during their “Swoncert” (try saying that … it rolls right off the tongue) in front of a rowdy crowd. After seeing The Swon Brothers live, this much is clear – these boys were born to be on stage.
The Voice Season 4 Finalists, Zach and Colton Swon, spent their show covering songs ranging from country to classic rock to classic country rock. The boys barreled through the starting line with a cover of Randy Houser‘s “How Country Feels” and quickly transitioned into the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band‘s “Fishin’ In the Dark” (much to our amazing photographer friend, Sara Kauss‘, excitement). The guys manifested their uncanny abilities to harmonize with one another without ever making evident that one brother’s vocal prowess is any more superior than the other.
The lineup for George Jones‘ Tribute Concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena just got even bigger. In addition to an already packed lineup, it was announced today that George Strait, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Reba McEntire and Alabama will also be performing at the November 22nd show.
“I am thrilled and honored that so many of George’s friends are coming to what would have been his last concert, but is not a fitting tribute,” says Nancy Jones. “George loved these artists and before passing had actually wrote letters to almost all of them.”
The new list of performers will join an already star-studded lineup that includes Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley, Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, Josh Turner, The Oak Ridge Boys, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry, Sam Moore, and others. All previously announced artists are currently being reconfirmed.

The Legendary “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” Singer Mr. Charlie Daniels has released his latest single on Blue Hat Records, titled “Take Back The USA.”
Two versions of the single have been released, with one including a narrative of a bible verse from Chronicles 7-14. Listen to “Take Back the USA” on iTunes here.
“Take Back The USA” was produced by Alabama’s Teddy Gentry and Charles English of Music Brothers Productions. Songwriter and multi instrumentalist Bobby Terry contributed lyrics, along with Gentry and English. Distributed through Megaforce Records/MRI and Sony/Red Distribution, the song is a plea to the people of the United States to “Take Back The USA.”
“I think it speaks volumes about how a lot of people in this country feel right now,” says WQNU Program Director Shane Collins. “It’s easy to hear how Charlie paved the way for the Jason Aldeans and Eric Churchs of today.”
Captain Jack of Nashville’s Renegade Radio adds, “Charlie Daniels is saying what is on ALL our minds in his new release, ‘Take Back The USA.’ It’s GREAT and the audience LOVES it!”
“In a time where music has lost much of its meaning and heart, Charlie Daniels reminds us that patriotism is a way to reach millions and millions of Americans,” says SiriusXM Patriot 125 producer Ray Muccio. “It’s time for us as Americans to ‘Take Back the USA,’ and Charlie Daniels has paved the road for other artists to reach out to all Americans and remind them of the importance to vote on November 6th and take back the country we know and love so much.”
“This song reminds me why I love Country music,” says WKMK Program Director Marty Mitchell. “For over half a century, Charlie Daniels has continued to carry the patriotic torch for Country music.”
