Carrie Underwood made her way back to US soil after just returning home from the United Kingdom and Australia where she wrapped up a promotional tour and a successful chain of concerts on “The Blown Away Tour.” Her new album, Blown Away, was recently released on both countries and debuted at #1 on both the UK and Australian Country Charts.
Carrie’s overseas trip included her first-ever show in the United Kingdom at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall, which sold out in 90 minutes. The concert received a 4 star review from the Evening Standard as well as many other stellar reviews.
While in the UK, Carrie also performed a private show at the Dover Street Arts Club for some of the UK’s biggest media outlets and journalists, visited the Prime Minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street, and held a CD signing event for her UK fans at London’s Oxford Street HMV. She also interviewed with various print, online, radio and television outlets including interviews with Steve Wright and Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2, as well as performances on BBC Breakfast, Loose Women, and more.
The Australian leg of Carrie’s trip brought “The Blown Away Tour” to Melbourne, Tamworth, and Brisbane, wrapping at the iconic Sydney Opera House where a second show was added due to high ticket demand.
During her Australian tour, Carrie made appearances on many of the country’s high profile radio and television shows including Sunrise, the Today Show, and more.
The Blown Away Tour continues on August 12th with a show in Bowmanville, Ontario at the Boots and Hearts Country Music Festival. For more tour information, head on over to carrieunderw00d.fm.
