Singer/songwriter, Wayne Mills, who was tragically shot and killed in a Nashville bar last month, is being honored with a concert in his memory. The Wayne Mills Benefit Concert will be held on Wednesday, December 4th, and will feature several of Wayne’s musical friends.
More than forty artists have signed up to participate in the event, including Jesse Keith Whitley, Brad Cotter, Tim Scott, Steve Owen and Trent Tomlinson. Members of the Wayne Mills Band will also perform with several of the acts.
We are incredibly excited to announce the return of Nashville duo, JillandKate, to our Keepin’ It Country Presents Stage! Keepin’ It Country Presents is teaming up with JillandKate to combat cancer with our first ever “Concert for a Cure.”
This show, the first in our Concert for a Cure series, will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), a foundation which increases awareness for blood cancers and raises funds for research of those cancers. “One person in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer approximately every four minutes. An estimated combined total of 149,990 people in the United States will be diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2013. New cases of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma will account for 9 percent of the 1,660,290 new cancer cases diagnosed in the United States this year.”
